Just chopped 5 hermies dwn last night 2 and a half weeks into bud. I chopped up all the leaf and buds, and I was thinking of doing a BHO run, and my question is , Do I have to dry the trim first, or can I do it wet?

The way I figure It i've got a few options:

1 To a wet run
2 Freeze and do a run
3 dry and do a run
4 dry and then freeze and then run it through butane


Any advice guys?

Not sure I would recomend making oil with plants only 2 and half weks into flower.

To get the most out of the plants I would do some cooking.

Plants need to be dry to make oil.

ok, i've got a couple L of ISO, just wondering does the trim HAVE to be dry??? pretty keen to oil it

righte-o, I found a thread on here from a while back and the fella used fresh trim straight into iso, sooooo I gave it ago, Mixed the alchol in, left it for 30 secs, strained it straight out, brewed it down and here I am

I've got a second brew sitting in the trim overnight to soak all the leftover goodness, going for quanatity over quality with this batch.
have to sayy it's not too ba oil for early flowering.

hmm, i'm just waiting on iso getting delivered - got quite bit trim in freezer just waiting to be qwiso'd

personally, cantbeathomegrown, i have only done an iso run once and not tried BHO yet but my advice to you is if you cant be arsed waiting for it to dry then just stick the buds/trim in the freezer for a half - maybe full - hour and then qwiso the stuff!!!

I knew I shud have put in the freezer but didn't know if it would wreck it, oh well , will wait for it to dry next time anyway, or invest in some bubblebags before harvest, On a awesome side note, lights on tonight has revealed no more hermies, so it looks like its all go for the remaiddaing 4

where do you source your iso from ??
im thinking of trying a qwiso run in a coupla weeks,
and would anyone like to give a comparison between bho and qwiso , ie ease,taste, effect , cleanliness, yield ...etcetc etc

I make BHO by pushing gas through a container (with holes) rather than the coffee-maker way, and find that any moisture turns into ice, leading to water in the residue, which then needs to be removed or the smoke is shite. If the weed is very wet the container gets jammed with ice, and eventually turns into a solid block.

So I'd say the drier the better for this method.

geepwr - We can buy a few L at a time from the paint shop around here. About 3 pound a L, 10 bucks here

judd - Just finished it about an hour ago, yea, put it in the freezer 3 times and back to room temp.
