Cheers mate, i'd thought about bigger pots, but to be honest, i've had a look at the range of my lamp and 3x3 with 5ltr pots sits under the lamp nicely.
I think if i go any bigger pot wise, i'll not be maximising my light.... hope you know what i mean?

Good luck spankydemonkey!! fingers crossed, i should have mine today

i must admit, i bought my bubblegummer from a online uk retailer for £28.99 inc delivery, and they arrived next day by royal mail special delivery.
dont know how much cheeper is is to buy direct, but i would be worried about ordering from oversea's incase they go missing or something....im not saying yours have, but its abit of a worry.
Pricie
Sep 12 2009, 01:32 PM
Well, i will get them cause its been sent signed delivery and of course, i haven't signed for them so they'll either get sent back to them, in which case, they'll send them out again. Or they'll have to send me a fresh set.
Still a right pain

! i wanna crack on, the plan was have these done for xmas, but i'm running out of time now!
spankydemonkey
Sep 12 2009, 02:20 PM

mind you mine are still in the packet, so not in any hurry to do these yet as i got couple others to do first.

Can only put this down to the postal strike and certain parts of the country getting mail where as others are not getting as much.
No matter hoe many they send out if your in a bad area for these strikes then there not going to get to you anytime soon.

I hope you're rewarded for your patience with a trouble-free and plentiful havest Pricie, and you never know the other pack may turn up on your doorstep in a week or so!
I vaguely remember smoking bubblegum one summer a few years back when the city streets round this way were full of it!
I've not tried the BubbleGummer but it sounds and looks good from what i've seen & heard on here, I like the look of a few of the Female seeds strains but not been at it long so haven't got around to popping any yet... definately high on the shopping list though.
Anyway I hope it all goes well for you and they get off to a flying start to make up for the wait.
Yan.

Oct 10 2009, 02:17 PM
Thanks Yan, so do i mate!

Anyway, quick snap of where were at so far....
A few weeks of natural light to get them established, then onto some serious veggin.
yan
Oct 10 2009, 02:24 PM
I'd have thought 2 weeks in natural light at this time of year won't be good for seedlings... won't they end up stretching to they sky? how many hours of daylight do we get at the moment?
Pricie
Oct 10 2009, 02:37 PM
There only little Yan, so don't wanna stress them too much too soon.
My normal rule of thumb is once the 2nd set of proper leaves comes out, then i move them under the lamp. With the lamp at a high elevation, then slowly bring the lamp down to 50cm above once they've hardied up abit.

putting them under a cfl will not stress them, though i would be abit worried about the current daylight hours as well, coz we must be having around 13 hours of light at the moment. .
djay
Oct 10 2009, 10:57 PM
Indeed they would be much better being under some sort of cfl for 20/4 24/0 there just aint enough daylight this time of the year and as posted they will stretch to high heaven looking for light.

Mine are straight under 250w CFL about 3 to 4 inches from the bulb and look very happy indeed.
BTW Pricie - externally hosted pics are a no-no on the site - upload them direct to UK420.

Cheers guys, i'll give that a go. Got my cuttings under the lamp at the mo, but i'll prob bin those off now the BG's here.

I did try to upload onto here yesterday, but it just wasn't having any of it.

is there size restrictions or something i need to worry about? i've uploaded a cam phone pic before, but obviously the pixels and size of the file will be alot smaller than a proper camera pic.
Cheers peeps.
I've got to say, i'm really happy with the quality of these seeds, there growing so fast and look extremely healthy, very straight, wen't green very quickly, popped up fast, couldn't ask for more really

Oh and btw, just to let ya'll know.... as of this morning, we're 11 for 11! all of them have now grown. 100% success rate
djay
Oct 11 2009, 10:35 AM
Only size restriction is how large the file is so no more than 450k i think for photo's.

Oct 12 2009, 08:00 AM
Popped them under the lamp this morn. left the lamp very high at the min, let them get used to it. either later today or tomoz, i'll transplant them into their 5ltr pots. mix of JI no2 and perlite.
Thats should keep them fed for around 3 weeks, then i can start pumping in the nutes.

Rule of thumb really let them stay is small pots 4inch or 5inch then into a 1ltr then 3.5 then 6.5 etc and no need to feed if you pot up untill there around 2 weeks into flower, they will do much better using this method and your much less likely to have root problems as the plant will be well rooted out by the next pot up.
Glad to see there all alive and kiking though
