Thanks to you guys, I'm heading towards the end of my first grow with minimal problems so far. I'm in Day 38 of flowering. I have 3 White widows with a month+ to go and a California Hash Plant with only a week or so to go (it only needs 45-50 days). It was a free seed that's turned out pretty well and I'm almost more excited about her than the WW's
Underneath however, she's started throwing out new flowers in the last week on the bottom branches, which are just starting to grow, and won't really amount to much in the next 10 days or so. I was thinking of harvesting the top half of her and leaving the rest to flower for another month. I've had a flick through this forum and seen that it's a possibility, I'm just looking for advice as to whether it is a good idea in my situation, and if so, some tips as to how to go about it.
I'd like to know the best way to harvest the top buds, while causing the least amount of harm / stress to the remaining parts of the plant. I'd also love some tips on how to balance the nutrients, regarding flushing them out for a good smoke on the first harvest, while still keeping her alive and healthy enough to grow after I chop her head off
Here are some pics to help you help me !
