What's a good in-between step to get decently dry bubbled trim for BHO/ISO?

not quite sure the question the inbetween off bubble and bho would be jelly hash. To dry bubble i air dry on a granite/glass chopping board then pat dry with paper towels

You are spot on apart from not using future tense.
just looking ahead really.
So i guess newspaper, cardboard, airing cupboard then.
