I know this is really basic and I should know this

I've got some girls in my polytunnel, and I've just noticed a few white hairs emerging. Does this mean they have started flowering? My previous grows have been indoors and so I have never been that fussed as to when flowering started, I just put them on 12/12, let then do thier thing and harvested when I thought they were done.

But doing it by natures clock is all new, so I need a bit of help please.
