hey me and a mate are planning to go on a two week camping holiday next year to europe starting in amsterdam- rotterdam-luxenberg- and so on and so forth till we hit france

I was just wondering if there are an other travellers on UK420 that could point us to any places that are unmissable - may it be a cafe, a club or even just a beautiful scenic route though europe.

this is the one and only time we'll have the freedom to go anywhere so off the beaten track places would be great.

thanks to everyone who helps (if they help lol.gif :-))

there's also another site, if you are standing behind the train station, take the ferry across the Ij, and its on the other side, along to your left. cant remember how far along it is, i didn't exactly have my wits about me that week spliff.gif

Yeah thats a sweet place to camp. I found dam a bit hectic myself after a while, but chilling in the camp sites common room was well chilled.

I love camping.

the only other place i've camped in europe, apart from uk, is in marseilles. well, just outside marseilles, about 1990, its probably away now, more of a travellers site than an organised camp site.

I stayed at zeeburg this summer, the facilities are really good better than most hotels showers and toilets!. Theres also a little shop thats pricey but great because its so convenient. Id throughly reconmend it , some of my best memorys of the dam were sitting by the cannals watching the ducks and barges smoking some fatties spliff.gif .

hiya.... i lived in central europe for many years. whenever i needed a break i didn't head to official campsites but instead found the area i wanted to be, then found a more specific location, then contacted a local farmer. i found many farmers were open to letting me set up a tent and stay for a couple weeks if i kept the area clean and left it as i found it. sometimes i would go into the forests of bavaria and stay near a stream or lake like this and i have to say they were some of the most peaceful holiday's i've ever had. good luck.. !
