Ever since I was traumatised once by a grow ruining attack of fungus gnats and what I think was some sort of Leaf Spot Fungus I've had a pathological fear of grow room pests
I thought I saw something running across the growroom floor
I'm keeping an eye on temp and RH in my grow and have treated my young plants with dithane already and more recently with a homemade concoction of teatree & garlic
But just in case some little horror takes hold in my grow I'm looking for an insecticide thats capable of nuking as many critters as possible but is hopefully safe enough to use on consumable crops, at least in early veg stage
I've read the pest control FAQ's and they mention products containing bifenthrin
then I saw this at my local DIY superstore
Provado Ultimate Bug Killer (Bayer)
It says on the label on the one in the shop that it contains 10g/l Imidacloprid in suspo-emulsion
I did some looking and Bayer say this product contains Thiacloprid
Can anyone shed any light on this for me? I don't want to melt my plants or harm my health, but I am prepared to be quite harsh in the event of borg, thrips or fungus gnat invasion
