I'd saved up £200 to start upgrading my PC to a gaming PC. Then I got a fucking phone bill on Monday for £130

Too true. But I love my RTS games, and FPS games were just made for mouse control.

MAN I'd totally forgotten about computer fairs Seriously, forgot they even existed, and I built my first 3 computers (at least) from buying bits at computer fairs. Nice one for the reminder (I gotta stop drinking so much my memory is shot to fuck).

An above average quad core workstation. Not the best, but I kill 15 year olds online all day

Best bet is to buy it piece by piece. That's what I've been doing my latest rig has taken my ages to buy cause I'm on the dole, but I've sacrificed to get it. I haven't had a sniff of weed or taste of beer in a month. Which is sadly become a more regular than smoking, but not being able to get descent weed or a straight deal does help alot, but boy I'd love a spliff only 9 days until I have money .


Yeah I've had a projector for years now use it to watch movies and play 360, not that I use my 360 that much. as PC games are more my style. My main rig is a DDR3 3.6 quadcore with 9800 gtx pro oc 2, 4 gigs of 1600mhz ram.

There is something great about blagging a movie off the net and watching it in my home cinema that doesn't get boring. I got a creative zen W to go with my projector as it plays most computer files and has avi out so works as a modern style dvd player.

Does anyone know any place where I can get a real cheap projecter?
I've looked in Argos an Fbay, but their still abit to much for me

i think you can pick up one like mine for 200 ish now google benq look for some thing that will do 1080i dont go for 2nd hand ones the replacement bulbs are almost as much as a new projector

i think i see the x4's there fella, got a set myself, wouldn't be without,
im currently on a nice new 32 inch lcd, ill probably upgrade again soon ,
got another xbox and a 42 in the living room aswell.

RTS games are my personal choice; I'm a Chris Taylor fan, so I started with Total Annihilation and a powerful PC to keep up with the thousands of units needed for TA v3. These days I've gotta have a seriously powerful rig for Supreme Commander/Forged Alliance. Since I haven't the mobility I used to, I've gone all computer megalomanic:

Antec 1200 case
i7 920 CPU
6GB 1600mhz RAM
Radeon 4870 GX2
Creative X-Fi soundcard through proper 5.1 Hi-Fi separates system
Projector
120 inch screen

got me a 52" lcd, hooked it up. found out i play ALOT worse on it than i do with my old shoddy bedroom tv. switched back to old tv. happy once again being top of the food chain

I'm in the process of bringing myself into the 20th century. Just got the 42" plasma and 5.1 surround and got the xbox360 elite 120gb for xmas. Making do with the ps2 for now, cant wait. Might have to ask the bride if I can get it out of the box to test

I have 2 Sli systems one with 2 260 gts and the other with 2 9800gtx both bizzare looking cards both quad core cpu with 16gb mem had to buy the 2nd when police took my computers.

Just to give u an idea of my lair skip to 2:30 this was pre raid (dunno how it ended up on utube it was streamed live on jtv)
