Hey guys, I'm having a problem with Aphids on my 2 flowering plants. i check them daily to kill any i see on the under leafs but I cant fully get rid so i'm thinking of investing in a praying mantis or some other bug that can kill these... anyone have any suggestions as to where to buy a praying mantis? I'd rather go into a shop and buy with cash over ordering somthing from the net. is there any other good alternatives to a praying mantis that i can just buy at a shop?
cheers

I think aphids are alittle small for a praying mantis, they tend to eat insects such as grasshoppers, blowflies, wasps, houseflies, moths, cockroaches, and spiders. Also it is not unheard of for a large praying mantis to eat small birds or reptiles.
Try ladybugs, they'll do a great job. Try your local garden centre or alt Google search to where you can get them

You could buy an mantid Ootheca and hatch it out, those little suckers will deal with aphids but once they grow they will look for something more substantial just get specialised aphid preds like ladybirds.
