So its Amsterdam at the September weekend for me.
Does anyone know of new strains available in coffeeshops? The reason I ask is that I have tried all the strains that I have wanted to try over there, AK47, Chocolope, Amnesia Haze etc
So is there any rediculously strong or tasty strains I should keep an eye open for? I know the question seems a bit vague but the cup is not that far off at the end of September, so there should be great stuff hitting the shops. (Well I think so....)

Have you tried any of the cali kushes? Not new for 09 but becoming more visible on more menus over there. If you've not smoked a good OG Kush then you owe it to yourself to try one. There are LOADS and most are overhyped imho but the family/line stands out as a bloody good smoke. Bubba Kush isn't as great imo, likewise for the various Purple Kushes - but OG Kush, or something OG dominant is really tasty and with a really meaty buzz. Grey Area might have some, Green Place will probably have some, Greenhouse is doing some (inc Chemdog) but I'd try anywhere else first.

Usually best bet for that is the Dampkring ...the buddhas sister there if they still do it is to die for (well maybe not that good) and the lavender is rather lovely too

must try strains in dam at the mo are mango haze from sheeba very nice smell and el gaupo special from el gaupo both very nice alittle pricey but both have flavour and strength

That stuff is some of the maddest looking green I have ever seen. It looks like just the seed pods/calyxes and no buds - but absolutely covered in trichs. I reckoned at the time it was some kind of mutant Nevilles.

Didn't smoke any because I flat out refuse to pay 17/eu a gram @ Amnesia (or anywhere for that matter) - that kind of pricing is for americans @ cup time imho....

i was in dam early last month got some sour d from greyarea was blackash tasted ok but 50% at least of what i got in some cafes was black ash my throat hurt everyday next time i go im gunna just buy a few weeds and stick with them.i gived away about 3 grams.

When smoked the ash is black, the bud hasn't burnt properley because there is too much P and K, it tastes really bad just like dealer weed

yeh you smoke a joint ash is black i went in siberie i though it was a organic shop i buy 2 gs afghan haze and silver haze rolled a pure it was blackash harsh on my throat really a waste best to stick with just a few strains and buy more of them if you like them instead of buyin somethink tht may look nice but smokeshit.

most of the bud i had in a'dam was worse than what i can get here,very hard to find decent.best buds i had were l.a con in bluebird and o.g#18 at katsu,o.g at grey area was ok as well.got to love the grey area crystals,bit harsh but tastes amazing with a buzz to match!!

Yeah, the L.A. Con, and BBCheese from Grey Area were some of the best buds I smoked over there.

The Green Place has some amazing gear - I'm surprised to hear the AK was crap.

I've smoked their Purple Kush, X18, SSH and OG Kush and each one was spectacular - definitely the original strain, well grown (and even cured) and with great individual tastes and stones. It's definitely worth asking Mo if he has any 'specials' which he keeps under the counter for proper cannabists...usually elite stuff that perhaps isn't in big supply and would be wasted on a noob tourist guessing at the menu.
