hi can any good folks out there give me a hand basicly i ntook the lamp holder and power cord off my old ballast for another project but now i got a veg tent and flower tent i need the 250 mh for veging so can anyone help if i put photos up and if u nedd any more give a shout or ask any questions

just to help a bit thers 1 brown wire loose coming from the ballast,1 white wire loose fromcapacitor,and then thers a brown and a blue loose coming off the ignitor o and of course a earth coming off the ballast

i have got the lamp holder and lots of power lead at high ampage soldering iron every thing just dnt know where to start

The answer is staringr you in the face,on top of the ballast (grey/bluey thing) is a circuit diagram that should explain everything

Just follow the diagram to wire up the starter and ballast.

The capacitor gets wired in parallel across the l and n.

any chance of talking through it step by step and by the coulour of the wires i havent a clue u see i dnt even kno wat u mean by parrel across the l and n

and would l and n be the lamp end or the connect to the power lead ?(told u i havent got a clue)

basically he means the capacitor connects between live and neutral from your plug socket, either way round doesn't matter. what the fuck are you doing with a soldering iron?

the capacitor isn't included in the wiring diagram you drew. so now you know how that's connected, you can connect everything in your diagram the same as as it is in the diagram. don't see what the problem is, connect the wires to the same terminals as in the picture

Ild buy a new one m8.....If you aint got a clue about electrics........You don't want a Fire!!!
