sad.gif Hallo all.. can i take a minute to please remind all us fishermen ? woman ...to try and keep your tackle safe from birds and animals .....dont disgard lines hooks etc..
I feed my local geese and swan. and found her last night both legs, feet body wrapped in 2 hooks and line . I was lucky enough to get my local vet to come down to the beach and borrowed plyers and scissors from a helpful house.and I am so happy to report we freed her rofl.gif gave her a shot antibiotics..
but it could have been just another satistic.. dead bird so what!!!! to see such a beautiful helpless animal trapped because someone couldnt be bothered picking up there own kit.. Now i fish myself and snags happen to the best of us we have all lost hooks etc,.but please just give a thought to what you leave behind..
I saw her tonight she is in very good condition considering how messed up she was,. and was very grateful.. . .I swear she was smiling at me yinyang.gif

Good work Karma! thumbsup.gif

If I can remember, I take a big plaggy bag when I go fishing, just for to collect the litter I find bankside. I have given up getting cross about the way my fellow fisherfolk leave waste behind, and just take a few minutes tidying up wherever I find any crap. lol.gif I've been known to tidy up a whole bank if fish go "off". I recommend this practice to others. Thing is, sometimes you get seen by the bailiff, and come ticket-money time .... let's just say I've enjoyed some free hours here and there, not to mention the odd pan-trout over the limit, which is nice.

But it is annoying. I used to help out with a wee private trout fishery. And I mean private as in exclusive and posh. And costly. But the crap left behind each day was unreal.

HIGH All, just the other day a Eagle was got in Fishing line and was hanging upside down in a tree...a very sad site.....at least someone seen it and reported it and they saved it before a long and slow death.

My wife and I clean up too much shit in and around the rivers and lakes and it's sad to see so many doing it....Kudos to you All who Leave it as you Found it (Hopefully Clean)

One of the worst objects I have ever come across for this is the plastic piece that is used to join multi packs of beer or cans together. If left uncut the plastic circles can easily entrap young or small animals, I always cut mine through before they go in the bin.
Bad Penny.
Hedgehogs, notorious for getting themselves into predicaments that could lead to their demise,I had to cut one out of a badmington net once,it was all snarled up,the net had been left overnight in a pile, havent got a clue how it became or why it became entangled unsure.gif
