nice 1 so do ya think it will be the same for the peppers and the toms ?
Heya GarageFlower , imho small scale its a waste of time and money much more rewarding plants and less troublesome i would be looking for , 12/12 when you are ready to force flower , major grows buy in the bees to pollinate i would suggest an electric tooth brush , good luck .

Chilli's don't need a light cycle change as they never really go into flower. The continue to grow whilst flowering. Many chilli fanatics, me included only use lights to get them started about december time. They are then a good size to go in the greenhouse at the beginning of may. I use a 250w blue spec envirolite and for 18h on.
Pollinating can be done with a small brush or gently with your finger. Simply shaking or putting them outside during the day will help and pollinating during midday is most successful.
Chilli's need next to no nutrient to do well - I use half strength tom food fortnightly. My hydro chillis have never been higher than 1.0 ec and are lush green and producing massive pods.
