I can never get rid of them either... I hate the bastards.

I use Floramite .. and its incredible. Systemic, can use up until the day of harvest, kills em dead... good stuff. I also use Dr. Doom every 15 days like clockwork... sometimes less. My humidity is up in my flower room to help combat them.. but nothing has ever worked for me either. Total room cleaning, bleach, painting, sealing.. nothing stops them bastards from showing up.
I live with em. ... and hate them.

I use plant vitality plus. Normally does the job.

from what ive read on floramite you dont want to be using it anywhere near harvest let alone up till ! unsure.gif ......

Extremely toxic to aquatic organisms. Don't even spray this shit in the same building as fish you love- toxic in microgram/liter concentrations. Be very aware that dumping this into groundwater in even microscopic amounts WILL cause envionmental damage.

Approved only for use on ornamentals- not approved for food or otherwise human-consumed crops.

and even says they dont guarantee its ok on all ornamentals ! stoned.gif

I got rid of them by ripping down my growroom and burning it, leaving my grow area for 3 months then rebuilding my growroom and cleaning my light and filters with spray bleach. This got rid them.

I didn't do this just because i had mites, i was going to build a new room anyway but it just so happened i got mite towards the end of my final grow in that room. They are bastards, get fucking everywhere. gunsmilie.gif

this time of year your back garden is teaming with ladybirds, one of the best mite killers out there.gaver up around 5 birds, put them in grow room and leave in till end of grow?,will not eat your plants but will protect you till the end,if no ladybirds????my garden has loads!!!!always praying mantices from pet shops,do the same thing, this will be a constant barrier.

It's about a new anti-borg product, 'Westlands Bug Attack Defence'.

I haven't had a serious indoor borg problem, just a few fungus gnats, but when I read up on this stuff I went online and got some. Prevention better than cure, usually.

As borg are not my primary concern, and as the ready-to-use 1L trigger spray is about 7 quid whereas
250ml of concentrate is about 10 squid and makes 50L, I got the concentrate. It took 5 days to arrive here. Yesterday I made up 2L in my pump-sprayer and gave all my babes, indoor & outdoor, a good drenching. The indoor will be going into flower anyday now. I will be getting the trigger-spray as well, as a standby for emergencies.

BORG = B*stards Out to Ravage my Garden!

Fijne weekend, kerel - as we say over here smile.gif (edit:- re-phrasing, coz I be well mashed!)

had a mega spider mite problem once in a massive grow.. tried to keep on top of it with bug spray.. luckily they were concentrated on 1 or 2 plants out of around 75.. i could see them walking along the drying line.. total rip down , bug bombs , bleach , a 2 month break..

the answer is be real careful not to get them in the first place... dont wear clothes that you did your gardening in in your grow room.. make sure your room is sealed properly and your inlet has some sort of bug filter..

QUARRENTEEN CUTTINGS FOR 10 DAYS AND SPRAY WITH NEEM OIL EVERY OTHER DAY..

Bear in mind that the concentrate does not contain Abamectin and so is not as useful as the ready made spray. Best anti mite spray IMHO is still Harka Mectin thumbsup.gif

Im not sure what the ingrediant is. It says its organic on the bottle though but by the smell of the stuff i doubt it. It does kill the mites straight away though. One spray and the bastards are gone. Brillant stuff.

i'll second that I used plant vitality from greens horticulture. pricey at £20 for a teenie bottle but this stuff worked straight away.only one application needed. i had 7 clones that had been vegging for about a month and it sorted them all out. now well into flower and not a peep.

well worth the price tag.

good luck

Neem will gum the little buggers mouth parts up and then they can't eat and die.

Needs re-applying every two weeks, works by coating the plant in a layer of oil that protects from the mites.

Other than that Provado do a Systemic Spray 'Bug Killer' that you can use safely on food crops, it comes in a blue spray bottle. One application should do you.

There is also a Provado Systemic that comes in a Yellow bottle that does both Pests and Diseases. Both blue and yellow are available in garden centres and B&Q definatley do it.

I have used the blue stuff on my plants and did not damage them in anyway. I also use Neem.

If you going to go for a substance like Neem, or anything you mix yourself then I would recommend the use of a two litre Spring + sprayer that you can get for approx £8 from Greens. Goes from spray to mist and is very sturdy. I love mine.
