Ok folks here goes, after much research, discussion and enlightenment ive decided to attempt my first hydro grow, my plan is to have a 1metre x 1metre ebb&flow setup, growing my plants in a s.o.g under a 600watt hps. Ill go into more details about the room and setup in my diary once i get it up and going, today i pose a question about s.o.g setups as ive searched hiogh and low on this site for s.o.g info and the search wont come up with anything.

So iv decided on two strains to grow:-

CHRONIC - SERIOUS SEEDS

WHITE WIDOW -SENSI SEEDS

My question to the good folks on uk420 is, what would be the ideal number of clones , from each of the two strains iv chosen to transplant into a 1m x 1m ebb & flow tray?g.gif
My aim is to yield about 450+grams per grow if i can yahoo.gif
Am i aiming to high? eek.gif

Is that what i want to do next ?

are you growing the mothers your self and cloneing yourself first time ???
if so hope things go well ,
sorry crap with the lingo edd/flow ?
that's hydro trays yes ???
if i write a load of nonces ,
the best way to grow them is from the floor up someone will come along and save you from me,
but good luck your strains are safe so go for it !!!!!!!
plus the footballs on so the poeple might not be about for 60 mins cheers.gif

Hey getoartist cool.gif I chose chronic becasue it grows well in a s.o.g, nice phat colas in the right environment, its not really my first grow, iv grown a many outdoor crops and this will be my 3rd indoor grow, however it will be my first indoor hydro grow, hence i chose to use ebb & flow (flood and drain), so yeah it is a tray style of hydro, seems to be pretty failsafe for a first timer, minimal fuss/maintainence.... and when it comes to the mothers, i plan on growing all the mothers from seed, picking out the phenos i like and keeping a few mums in my veg cabinet for future grows smile.gif

Thanks for the wellwishes, im in the process of collecting my kit and building the room as we speak, i have been taking pics ect but will post them once its all done, i plan on doing quite a comprehensive diary for this grow..

I spoke to a guy at a hydro shop and he recomended no more than 10 plants per square metre ebb and flow tray, however some thinner less bushier strains could fit perhaps 15, but i think ill stick with ten on the first grow and see.

you could do 16. That would mean 4x4 o. You will need to keep them short and tidy. It will be difficult since you are doing 2 different strains in one tank. hydro is not so great for different strains but you can still do it....
Don't veg them too long, depends on the cuttings...
