I always hear good things about Rhizotonic; at least I've never seen anyone state that it's useless or has no effect.
I've had good results pre-soaking rockwool cubes in Nitrozyme (fully rooted within two days) so I add a little of that to my tank now.

Regen-A-Root is the best imo....tried Rhizotonic, Voodoo Juice but RAR is the one i have seen the most roots with.

I'm a firm believer in evidence based opinion, as opposed to bullshit and marketing:
Rhizotonic v Root Exelurator:

i just finished a bottle of superthrive (which lasted a year!) and i got good results but it is the only one i have used so i couldnt compare it to anything else, SP
GreenNinja
Aug 30 2009, 02:00 AM
Guys, Superthrive is not a root stimulator - it might bring benefits to the root zone but it in itself is not a root stim. Rhizotonic, Root Exelurator or any specific root stim should destroy Superthrive on root development performance...

i grow in pebbles and find rhizotonic very good but Root Excelurator to be the best
I always thought regen a root was more of a preventative against root disease than a root stim ?

it brakes it down and then helps make heathy new roots when you have root probs ..thats what it says on the bottle
i use it soon as i see roots till i flush and my roots on a nft table have never look so good at the end of the grow..
not into loads of add on my self but this has got me buying it ..does what it says on the bottle

not sure whats in it
i think it similar chemical to what the plant roots produce to protect its self
its good stuff though
i have also been testing some Bcuzz root stimulant i also think this is good stuff to much better than rhizotonic and only 1ml per liter
rhizotonic is much overrated me thinks
so far i think regen a root produces much thicker roots and Bcuzz produces more finer root hairs i like em both

RootJuice has always worked well with cuttings for me. Used some RHS Rootgrow on my seed grow this year - it's mycorrhizal fungi so works with the root system to help unlock all available nutrients, was well impressed.

im using regen a root for the first time on my nft grow.....but tbh i've never tried a root stim before, so cant compare, but the roots do seem to be more thicker then previous.
i guess i'll see what difference it made when it comes to chopping down.

I've only used the rootgrow, alongside maxicrop. I've found it very effective with canna and other garden plants.

Trichoderma for has been the best root stim i've used prob, not sure if you can use it in a hydro system though

Don't think Trichoderma is a root stimulator as such, it destroys pathogenic fungi, particularly in the root system to prevent fungal diseases. This may increase overall vigour but i don't think it constitutes a root stimulant
