I harvested my first grow a few weeks ago now; 4 White Ice and 5 Blue Berry plants. I totally trimmed them all and all the buds are now potted and curing. There was a fair bit of trim; all the really loose, little buds and lots of frosty leaves. I have been smoking most of the loose buds, but decided to try making some hash out of the really loose stuff and the leaves, probably about 1.5ozs.

A mate found an artists screen for me at a car boot for £1 .. she is the car boot queen! I am not sure what micron it is, but it seems pretty fine and is in good nick. So I took all the dried trim, some of it had been frozen, and rubbed batches of it, by hand, over the screen which I had propped up over a mirror that I had found in a skip.

I ended up with exactly 2gms of really fine, fluffy, sticky, light greeny/browny/beige kief:

(the last rub gave the extra .5gm)

I then decided to pretty much follow drgthumb's great little post; Easy, Free Hash - drgthumb, to press the kief into hash. I really love good hash, and this was going to be the most exciting part of the grow for me ..

.. so using the drgthumb method, I gently packed the kief into the bottom of a cellophane packet .. a pack of 10 cigarette wrapper, wrapped it tightly with as few folds as possible, and sealed it with sellotape:

..wrapped the pack tightly in a few layers of newspaper which I then soaked with water:

..put it into a moderately hot pre-heated oven until well heated throughout, about 10 minutes, then took it out and used a rolling pin to press the pack well with a few minutes of stiff rolling before popping it into the freezer for about half an hour, and hey presto .. HASHISH!!!!

.. I even love it that I got my own little plastic hash wrap!

Anyway, after all that, I am thinking of mixing it up with a pound of candle wax and brick dust to make some fine soap bar which I can sell to the hoodies in the local park.

.. actually, by the smell of it, those hoodies are smoking some pretty fine bud anyhow, so maybe not! Seems everyone is doing it these days !

What a result! I have never smelled anything like it; really rich and sweet with morrocan spices and a dried rose floral odour; I agreed with my fellow tester when she said, "I would wear this if it was perfume!". I don't have a pipe, so I made a quick one out of a can and tin foil, and bloody hell! .. the tiniest bit really puts out a lot of white smoke and it tastes really sweet and hashy. The effect hits you immediately, eyes glaze over, dopey grin spreads, and your cheeks warm up as your brain goes wooooooooh! .. well, something like that anyhow.. I also rolled a lluuuvverrlly joint using some of the rubbed trim as tobacco, some of each of the buds and of course, the hash ... mmmm mm mm mmmm! I am almost tempted to do the whole lot, but I want the bud to last until the next harvest and I want to see how it matures as it cures.

..this is really really precious stuff; hand made, organic and locally grown!

I am saving the remains and bits of stalk to see if I can make some oil, and then I will have used pretty much all of the plant except the roots and main stalk.

... oh yeah .. it also makes you really forgetful and I keep getting up to do things and then wandering around the flat grinning before sitting down again and then remembering that I was going to do something, but not what it was that I was going to do .. kinda thing!

Cheer`s Zappa,i cheated some what but the result is still good,i bought a bubbleator,basically a mini washing machine with ice in the water and weed in a bag,thrash it around a bit then into bubble bags for collection, sweet and fun with little physical effort

Good turn out fella.got 4 bags of trim lying around might have a bash myself dudeUr thread might get me off my ass to do it.
