Hi all, could someone please tell me if the intake has to be smaller and why?
Also, smaller size or smaller as in less power and why?
I have a 75 75 200 budbox with 400w sodium.
Any examples or suggestions please, all are welcome..

If your talking about passive intake(just 1 extract fan), then it is meant to be much bigger than the exhaust..like 4-5x.

for example, I use 100mm(s&p) for intake, 150mm(ruck) extracting. Temps are great in a small 3x3 closet


btw I can't remember why it needs to be smaller, but I think its to do with creating negative pressure

Yo dude a fellow jock i presume

your intake fan needs to be smaller & the extraction bigger so as to create negative pressure, this is very important as if you dont have negative pressure the smell will leak out especially using a tent

if the sides of your tent suck in slightly then thats what your after negative pressure is ur best friend for less smell issues

if they blow out then smell leak city

Aye aye! Thanks for that matey! I bought a fresh inline fan that is shit 300m3, if i put this as an intake and got an hvk as an exhaust would this be ok?

wheres your tent located m8, i started in a 1m1m1.8m tent with a 400w & got away with only using an extraction fan. No intake fan just passive intake thru the vents down the bottoms of the tent

what are your temps with the light on & extraction fan only? use the bigger fan of the 2 (most powerful 1 ) always for extraction

are you a Hibee or a Jambo bud

If its in your spare room you can passive intake from the room, where does your extracted air go fella? if it goes outside or thru to another area then you may get away with extraction only man

Can have it either way mate goin out of ma window, did the temps when it was really hot so hopefully will have calmed down a wee bit.
Really well ventilated room aswell.
Also, have a primair fan controller if that will be any use?
And auld reekie supports them with pride.......

i think youl get away with just extraction buddy or if you know how to rig up the Primair then get both fans & that sorted & roberts yer fathers brother that controls it for ya

im sure the primair does all the work by turning fans up if its too hot & down if its too cool

your better waiting for someone to come along that knows about primairs m8 cos ive not got 1 & nvr used 1

ive got a 6inch rvk on a fan controller m8 with a 4inch fan as intake, i turn my fan up if its too hot & down a little if its too cold & during the cold weather i stick heaters in too
