Keep hearing of hermies, and I simply don't have the room to grow out more than few beans, so I need fems, ideally reliable ones.

Which seedbank have the best rep for quality fems?

You have 2 with breeders help desks on here Female seeds and also sweet seeds, i can't comment on the sweet seeds one as i don't think anyone really apart from a few has grown there strains out yet although i know a lot of people that have grown femaleseeds.nl stuff out with no major problems.


Also a hermie can happen with a normal pack of seeds if you environment is not right.

Some people slag off Dutch Passion femmes but i grew 2 Strawberry Cough`s with absolutely no hermi probs and one pheno is some of the best smoke i`ve ever had,I kept two cuttings and will be having a mother for sure, also i made some hash with the trin and it`s face melting

Soil isn't for everyone, me especially because I'm crap with it but it does have some advantages. As they start in small pots, space is not an issue. So regular seeds are better than fems with soil imo. Feminised Sensi Star can't be as good as regular Sensi Star because luc has a different top priority when making the fem beans. By the time they're all sexed is when the final soil pot up happens, 2 weeks into 12/12 you've got the same result, exactly the number of females you wanted whether you do regulars or fems.

With my first Paradise fem seed grow, I managed to bugger them up. Went to 12/12 and had a contactor failure the first week, light stayed on ??? days. Was a month of mental dysentry for me and I kept doing the replacement contactor wrong and it kept sticking on after a few days. When I finally got it fully sorted, the timer went. I now have a lead to a neon in the living room to tell me if the lights are on or off.

Imagine having 13 regular seed plants getting that amount of light torture the first month of 12/12, how many females do think you'd get? I got 12 females and one full male, no hermies at all. Impressed the fuck out of me, well done luc. Am now doing the same strain as a staple, 100% germination and never a hermie or male in over 50 beans, contactor willing.

I've also done Female Seeds Skunk Special, they gave a problem free grow.

I grew female seeds White widow and they were pretty good.

I had six plants, five females and one plant with about two pollen sacks on. No seed to speak of.

i changed from standard pips to fems about 2 years ago, and never looked back tbh, you can get good and bad from any bank regardless of seed type! if anyone asked me, for the simple sake of ease id say fems every time!

All feminised seeds are alright imo.
It's stressing the plants which cause problems.

Exactly, it goes with any strain from any type of seed/clone. Some will do it more regularly than others but if the environments right its unlikely to happen

My mate grew a clone that everyone grew no probs but his ended up with seeds in!

Adding to my previous, always used feminised seeds - apart from my ICE.

Only ever found one crazily immature seed that was down to stress buried deeeeep in a main cola in a Seedsman's Power Africa.
Harmless. The odd seed imo is what you get instead of waiting to sex the fuckers.
But do it right and there will be no seeds.

I'm with Rebel and Weedio on this one.
Sure I'm a new grower but know many other growers who have been doing it for years, some over 25 years!
It all depends on what you do, sure you may get the occasional that does Germ but such is life.

I'd obviously stick with some of the big names though like Greenhouse seeds, Barneys etc...

I have used them a couple of times you wont go wrong with paradise seeds 100% germ rate for me 916

i had some dutch passion femd turn hermi which was a low point, however i also had 3 or 4 decent grows from them usings fems.

that being said after one lot turned hermie halfway through its all been regular ever since...


paradise seeds have a very good rep and am keen to try thier opium

Never had any issues with Greenhouse fems, all been very good smoke and top class yielders. Most of the folk I know that grow have all had good results from Greenhouse.

A lot of folk slag them off purely for there marketing techniques and Arsejams personality, but the product is good and reasonably priced. Fuck all those £50 + seeds, they are the ones doing the ripping.

The only bad reviews I have seen over hermie fems usually comes from people with Dutch Passion fems.

People that buy feminised seeds have different priorities to when they buy regular seeds and the breeders respond accordingly.

When buying regular seeds we're looking for a top notch smoke with decent yields. If you're on a keeper hunt you'll be happy with just one outstanding female and the others being a good smoke is a bonus. That's what the good breeders offer us.

When we buy feminised seeds, above all we want them to grow into females. I love toking the fems I'm growing now but if they gave a hermie or 2 per batch I'd drop them like a shitty stick. With being female as a given, we then look for best toke/best yield.


There are 2 Sensi Stars, one that fulfils what regular seed buyers want and one that gives fem seed buyers what they want. Both good quality and both good value for money.

paradise seeds 1st but flying dutchman and white label seeds are good aswell theese are the one that ive tried and got no probs and great smokes from si id say stick with paradise and you cant go far wrong they are great femes
