hey guys,my g/b has 2 4" p/c fans at the bottom pushing air in,and a4" inline fan extracting, when ladies are asleep i have,2 small heaters at the bottom of the g/b to keep them warm during lights out,ok,i have the 2 p/c fans set to come on periodically [every 2 hours] this i hope will circulate air around box [g/b size 4ft highx7 sq ft area].question, should i also run inline as well,as i dont want them getting bud rot, which i beleive is possible with bad circulation, most grateful for any help on this one, regards twinkle cat.gif

I'd leave the fans running 24/7 - certainly enough of them to at least maintain some airflow all the time - it certainly won't hurt them, and will bring in much-needed CO2, and guard against the dreaded bud rot smoke.gif

Hi Twinkle,

I agree with Farmweb

Yeppa leave the fans running 24/7.

All the best

cheers guys, just the answer i was looking for,i'm not concerned about running costs,my worry was it would defeat the object of the heaters, thanks again they'll be on 24/7 from now on ,the ladies are 2 weeks in 12/12,so i must give them more ltc, regards twinkle cat.gif

Got to slightly disagree to a point.

You do need ventilation all the time, at night to remove Co2 given off by the plants and to keep the humidity levels down. This does not need to be a huge air exchange, just enough to keep the air moving, I would say keep the computer fans on 24/7 and just run the RVK during the 12hr lights on period.

You are growing in a garden shed, if you have the RVK running during the night and its a foggy frosty night, [humidity could easily be 100% and well below freezing] your little tube heater will be working its nuts of just trying to keep the box warm let alone reduce the high humidity of the foggy outside air.

I'd go with OT's more detailed advice - I reckon we sort of said the same thing (keep something running all the time)- but having the big one on only when the lights are on makes good sense smoke.gif

So would this be ok,to have 2 pc fans as intakes and 1 as an outlet,1 fan is 12v the other is 9v, i turn the 12v off during lights out.Leaving the 9v and the outlet fan running 24/7..... 34.gif
