thats awesome mate!

did you grow them indoors under lights?

My kitten Pixel has just about scratched through my screen trying to get at it!!

Just about the finest examples I have ever seen too.

The standard of 'street' nip over here is very poor, just crappy dry leaf. Where did you get your seeds from? Gotta get some before 'she' gets REALLY mean!

Ooh, very pretty, that's catmint or nepeta grandiflora or curviflora because it has more of the purple hue, correct? I have catnip, nepeta cataria, going all the time.. I take care of some strays outside and have a few strictly inside 'kids' of my own smile.gif Funny thing, due to the isolated genetic pool in Australia and the genes of the first few cats who immigrated, roughly 4 out of 5 Aussie cats aren't particularly interested in any of the nips or mints. Lucky thing my cats aren't of Australian descent smile.gif I've grown a few varieties but my cats seem to enjoy the nip a hair more (no pun intended), while the catmint is more vibrant and prettier to look at.. pic of mine a few weeks ago, it's been flowering lately, harvested down to little stumps & revegged it twice now. Good to see I'm not alone here in growing for my cats tongue.gif

My cat has no interest in catnip - I grew it once. She is a Siamese, if that makes any difference.

yea, all the cats i know prefer cat nip ! stoned.gif creates euphoria, something to do with a jacobs organ i think, at the back of the cats throat.catnip also has an effect on humans too. This nip i got has quite papery leaves, not as thick as the mint, all the cats from the area descend on my backgarden for some of it lol.gif.My dog(a terrier) is well jealous ! They all fight over it with the bees as well, it gets trashed in the end.Have got loads more heads flowering still - just gave it some ionic grow hehe, will give it some bloom tomorrow.I found that my cats prefer the fresh shoots and leaves the most appetising and not the flowers so much. yinyang.gif
