hi all , i have to say that games are getting increasingly better.
but did anyone find that after cod 4 was released there was a short period time (about 12 months) that you didnt feel gaming would ever be the same ?.

what i mean is after you had hammered it for a couple of weeks you realised that you were playing the best game of all time and it dawned on you that a new benchmark had been set that was gonna take time to break in other words ALL OTHER GAMES ARE SHIT ! (wartime 1st persons) example , youve had enough cod for a while so pick another wartime 1st person to play , come on 5 mins in and you cant help comparing it to cod .

right just realised im stoned and going on but does anyone feel the same ?

I used to be pc but got feed up having to keep on top of updating graphics etc, im xbox now .

I still feel that gaming in general has hit a massive plateau. The only thing that is improving is graphics, playability is basically the same. We are still stuck staring at a screen, moving a mouse and keyboard. Roll on decent virtual reality, its about fucken time I say.

I've still not got into playing Cod4, although i'm not really mad on FPS, it does seem pretty good although my mate who finished says it's really short, i've not even attempted online battle yet as i know i'll get hammered in seconds. Once i get used to the controls i'll probably like it, certainly looks very nice.

The thing is if they get away with it then look at all the massive christmas releases im pretty sure they will follow suit, what makes me really angry is the COD4 was 44 quid which i can just about cope with, we all bought it we all played it and we made it the most played and one of the best selling fps in the world.... our thanks £55 please. C**TS!!!!!

Imo Counter Strike is a better FPS than CoD, seems to be the one game that I've never got bored of over the years, still play it.

best game ever? nah i don't think so not even the best fps for that matter (that goes to quake III without a doubt).

Gaming reached its peak with the ps2 and then slowly declined in my opinion, with some of the best games being:
FF7, GTA III, MGS, devil may cry, res evil 2, street fighter etc etc.

was the original quake or the tweaked QuakeWorld online version that opened my eyes to online gaming, even got BT home highway for it with Pipex dial, shit that must be a while now. I was once one of these PC only people, the thought of playing a FPS with a pad and not a mouse/KB I only got a 360 cos I'd just got a HD tv and wanted to justify it sorta, never looked back after getting ghost recon and then finaly cod4. I honestly think they may fuck the new one, I'd be happy with maybe 20 new online maps. Was ranked in the top 1500 for score on cod4 but since i've started growing things have changed

Cod4 my fav game on live.. Cod5 was a disappointment, only for me really was the dogs- they take the piss. Also all old guns, i think there should be a mixture, or just keep the old ones from 4. Modern Walfare 2 should be wikid by the videos on boobtube.

I totally agree that CoD4 is a fuck of a game, but Battlefield 2 is just that bit beyond the arcadiness of CoD4 that brought FPS to a whole nother level.

Unfortunately BF2 suffered greatly from cheating and many, many twats on public servers, which I never found that noticeable in CoD4. Not being able to dive and shoot, bunny hopping didn't really work are things that BF2 should have crushed with code instead of laying in on clans to police their servers.

It's crappy that the latest cod game still has fucking kiddy crosshairs

Funny you should say that as i started playing Medal Of Honor Airbourne today, i've had it in my games collection for a while, 5 mins into it and i was comparing it to COD.


That dosnt make it shit though, i actually enjoyed it, definatly more of a challenge on single player than COD.

Same here snake eyes , thats the game i played b4 writing this ............ just didnt do it for me .
