Hello and welcome to my new diary,as a few of you already know i have had a few problems aquiring my competition seeds and have now given up trying, bloody postal service pooh.gif Anyway i have decided to have crack at this lot seeing that TRSC were so very generous with their offer a couple of months ago, Click to view attachment I have planted three of each not ten minutes ago, aparently these could be a bit of a challenge to grow from what i`ve read about them,so all i can say is bring it on!Click to view attachment Please anyone feel free to comment as i`ve not grown these strains before. smoke.gif

I think that's the idea mate - couple have reported hermy problems when using quick release nutrients like bio-bizz. I'm just gonna stick with water and see what happens - I have some guano on standby just in case...

All the best with the grow, I'll look in from time to time.

I will keep an eye on this one Ratdog as I have all these strains as well. How do you mean they might be a challenge are they difficult to grow then??
ratdog
Hello SD thanks for dropping in, it`s all about neuts,i have it on good authority (Namka) not to feed the lebs just pot up if required but i will try to be as detailed as possible in this diary. cool.gif
ratdog
Finally someone decides to show their faceClick to view attachment It`s been four days in compost and just one so far, would you be worried yet? unsure.gif
ratdog
And i just noticed when moving it to the nursery it has only one coytledon, not a good start so far. sad.gif
speedemon
Oh no mate, at least I know now to be patient with my Lebanese now.
By the way did you find those little round plastic cases the seeds are in a nightmare to open? or was it just me lol.gif

lol.gif rofl.gif So I was not the only one that used a knife to open it then rofl.gif Nice one mate, good luck with your grow as it cannot be much harder than getting at the seeds smile.gif
namkha
there is a knack to opening those seed cases - you squeeze them on the narrow side and you can slip a nail into the crack

the seeds should germinate fast - I don't know why you are having problems with them

the Malana are past their best already --- seems that the shelf life of some charas seeds is less than 2 years... so maybe you will get less than 80%.. but the Mazar should have been well pinch tested, and the Lebanese should have given you close to 100%

fuck knows man - I had 100% off the Lebs a few days ago when I did a test before sending them out to a potential retailer... tested them in May before that, sent some out to people, and within a couple of days had a couple of people complaining that they wouldn't germ even though all you need to do is throw them in some water and they pop

[edit: looking at your pics of those seeds I can see one of those Malana seeds is already dead]
Matsi

Good luck with this grow. Looking forward to see how they turn out smile.gif

You must have had bad luck with your seeds i think. i think i had 1 out of 18 nepalese that didnt sprout. all my 12 lebs and 12 malana´s sprouted very fast.. smile.gif

the small cases they come in, all you have to do is twist them a little from side to side, and they open...quit the puzzle to me first time lol.gif

Sounds more like it --- let's hope ratdog has the same

the plastic cases are used for keeping amulets in in Thailand

they can be a bitch to open until you get the knack

yeh, that's more like it

my guess is you put the seeds quite deep in the soil right? maybe a cm or 2 down, yes no?

a tip with seeds is to put them no deeper than the size of the seed itself --- so for cannabis seeds, cover them with a c. seed's depth of soil

what was your hash made from?
ratdog
Hi Namka, you`re right about the depth, will plant shallow next time thanks cool.gif

I made the hash from the trim of two Strawberry Coughs and one Armegeddon, I used a Bubbleator and have saved the water and let it settle(went through about 8 runs) so i have managed to make even more rather than throwing the water away this is what i`ve made, the big bit has already been posted above just finished the smaller bit which weighs a respectable 1.9gClick to view attachment
ratdog
Here we are all bar one looking healthy at various stages cool.gif Click to view attachment
2hi2try
this leb had the smallest amounts of feed that must have been in the watering can(only a tiny amount of dregs) and its hookin all over the place. I feel a little embarraced but here you go

i will give it some TLC though unless she's a he
ratdog
Looks pretty good to me dude, just water from now then, looks nice and healthy otherwise wink.gif

but this is a male and by the time you read this, it is no more
ratdog
I can`t believe how fast these little buggers are growing! Especially considering only half of my 250 enviro`s working. Waiting on a new on but my supplier`s supplier is playing silly buggers rolleyes.gif Click to view attachment
ratdog
I have potted them today, using Special mix which i like very much. I know it was a little early but i used very small first pots and they were well rooted, will leave the next pot up to 2 weeks all being well. I gave them a soaking in Maxicrop and NitrozymeClick to view attachment

Looking good mate, just do not go anywhere near the buggers with nutrients lol.gif

they will have mad heirloom vigour anyway... the roots will grow very fast, and will continue to grow even in flower

the more extras you use, the more likely there will be an adverse reaction from the plants... not the end of the world of course, it will be good to find plants which don't mind it, sooner or later we will find heirlooms which don't mind loads of growth boosters, nutrients, rich composts and assorted other sprays
ratdog
Hi SD and Namka, thanks for droping in. They have been sprayed with Nitrozyme before potting up Namka so i think they don`t mind it,but i`m going to be very careful with these little buggers, not planning to waste running costs on badly grown plants. stoned.gif

I'm throwing everything at my 2 phenos and they dont mind one little bit!(hydro) At the end of week 5 now the E.C fluctuates between 1.4 -2.4 then I add water and ph down and they're good to go again. Very dense and lush.. and fattening up nicely biggrin.gif

looking good, i aint fed my mazars and lebs yet .and they ar loving it. just bat guano in the soil mix , spliff.gif
ratdog
Hi Oli,as you can see i`m in compost and there is plenty of nutes for these fussy buggers cool.gif Smokie mate, are yours in flower yet?
spankydemonkey
your plants are looking good so far.
ratdog
Cheers Spankey wink.gif Here`s some more pic`s,first the Lebonese,as you can see they all look quite different but they were staggared in poppingClick to view attachment and the Malana`s again quite different, the one top right has a little wind burn as it`s getting crowded in the nurseryClick to view attachment
ratdog
I am looking foward to seeing these little beauty`s flower, assuming one or both will be girls, the only real difference at the moment is the shade of green spliff.gif Click to view attachmentClick to view attachment
namkha
Hi Ratdog, nice stuff, are those in the last post the Lebanese?
ratdog
Hi Namka,no mate they are the Mazar,my favourite at the moment.
namkha
duh - yeh, I just saw the label when I opened the pic - the leaves do have that slighly more rounded Afghan look than the Lebs can do when young ---

Have you seen the new pics of the Mazar outdoors from Morganna and from Toki? They're looking very nice --- Morganna has a pic of one with overlapping leaflets, as Burningfire says "like plates"... about 1.5 plus metres tall, planted early in season in N. America

ratdog
Bloody hell shock.gif Looks like Ratdog`s gonna be doing some topping lol.gif Thanks Namka.

Hey namhka that mazar is over 2.5 metres tall ( 8 feet ) and the one beside it that you can just see part of at the right of the picture is over 3 metres tall......these 2 were started from seed in the first week of may and I planted them for my friend the first week of june......if they were started 4 weeks earlier they would probably be 4 metres tall now......
namkha
duh yeh brain meltdown... mind you, you N. Americans do have a weird attachment to those Imperial measurements --- bring on the metric, I can't think in feet etc. just doesnt work for me for conceptualising things esp. height

what sort of size are those leaves?
morganna
Big ones are about 10 inches long..... plant on the right had a few that were 11- 12 inches.......
ratdog
Day 24 In the Real Seed House lol.gif Here`s a shot of the very different Lebanese Click to view attachment And a shot of the Mazars again quite different pheno`s stoned.gif Click to view attachment
