Hello and welcome to my new diary,as a few of you already know i have had a few problems aquiring my competition seeds and have now given up trying, bloody postal service

Anyway i have decided to have crack at this lot seeing that TRSC were so very generous with their offer a couple of months ago,
Click to view attachment I have planted three of each not ten minutes ago, aparently these could be a bit of a challenge to grow from what i`ve read about them,so all i can say is bring it on!
Click to view attachment Please anyone feel free to comment as i`ve not grown these strains before.

Cheers Vince, when you say don`t feed, not even in flower?
I think that's the idea mate - couple have reported hermy problems when using quick release nutrients like bio-bizz. I'm just gonna stick with water and see what happens - I have some guano on standby just in case...
All the best with the grow, I'll look in from time to time.

Hello SD thanks for dropping in, it`s all about neuts,i have it on good authority (Namka) not to feed the lebs just pot up if required but i will try to be as detailed as possible in this diary.

Oh no mate, at least I know now to be patient with my Lebanese now.
By the way did you find those little round plastic cases the seeds are in a nightmare to open? or was it just me

there is a knack to opening those seed cases - you squeeze them on the narrow side and you can slip a nail into the crack
the seeds should germinate fast - I don't know why you are having problems with them
the Malana are past their best already --- seems that the shelf life of some charas seeds is less than 2 years... so maybe you will get less than 80%.. but the Mazar should have been well pinch tested, and the Lebanese should have given you close to 100%
fuck knows man - I had 100% off the Lebs a few days ago when I did a test before sending them out to a potential retailer... tested them in May before that, sent some out to people, and within a couple of days had a couple of people complaining that they wouldn't germ even though all you need to do is throw them in some water and they pop
[edit: looking at your pics of those seeds I can see one of those Malana seeds is already dead]

Good luck with this grow. Looking forward to see how they turn out

You must have had bad luck with your seeds i think. i think i had 1 out of 18 nepalese that didnt sprout. all my 12 lebs and 12 malana´s sprouted very fast..

the small cases they come in, all you have to do is twist them a little from side to side, and they open...quit the puzzle to me first time

the plastic cases are used for keeping amulets in in Thailand
they can be a bitch to open until you get the knack

yeh, that's more like it
my guess is you put the seeds quite deep in the soil right? maybe a cm or 2 down, yes no?
a tip with seeds is to put them no deeper than the size of the seed itself --- so for cannabis seeds, cover them with a c. seed's depth of soil
what was your hash made from?
ratdog
Aug 9 2009, 10:55 AM
Hi Namka, you`re right about the depth, will plant shallow next time thanks
I made the hash from the trim of two Strawberry Coughs and one Armegeddon, I used a Bubbleator and have saved the water and let it settle(went through about 8 runs) so i have managed to make even more rather than throwing the water away this is what i`ve made, the big bit has already been posted above just finished the smaller bit which weighs a respectable 1.9g

I have potted them today, using Special mix which i like very much. I know it was a little early but i used very small first pots and they were well rooted, will leave the next pot up to 2 weeks all being well. I gave them a soaking in Maxicrop and Nitrozyme

they will have mad heirloom vigour anyway... the roots will grow very fast, and will continue to grow even in flower
the more extras you use, the more likely there will be an adverse reaction from the plants... not the end of the world of course, it will be good to find plants which don't mind it, sooner or later we will find heirlooms which don't mind loads of growth boosters, nutrients, rich composts and assorted other sprays

Aug 15 2009, 04:50 PM
Hi SD and Namka, thanks for droping in. They have been sprayed with Nitrozyme before potting up Namka so i think they don`t mind it,but i`m going to be very careful with these little buggers, not planning to waste running costs on badly grown plants.

I'm throwing everything at my 2 phenos and they dont mind one little bit!(hydro) At the end of week 5 now the E.C fluctuates between 1.4 -2.4 then I add water and ph down and they're good to go again. Very dense and lush.. and fattening up nicely

duh - yeh, I just saw the label when I opened the pic - the leaves do have that slighly more rounded Afghan look than the Lebs can do when young ---
Have you seen the new pics of the Mazar outdoors from Morganna and from Toki? They're looking very nice --- Morganna has a pic of one with overlapping leaflets, as Burningfire says "like plates"... about 1.5 plus metres tall, planted early in season in N. America

Hey namhka that mazar is over 2.5 metres tall ( 8 feet ) and the one beside it that you can just see part of at the right of the picture is over 3 metres tall......these 2 were started from seed in the first week of may and I planted them for my friend the first week of june......if they were started 4 weeks earlier they would probably be 4 metres tall now......

Aug 22 2009, 02:10 PM
duh yeh brain meltdown... mind you, you N. Americans do have a weird attachment to those Imperial measurements --- bring on the metric, I can't think in feet etc. just doesnt work for me for conceptualising things esp. height
what sort of size are those leaves?
morganna
Aug 22 2009, 02:36 PM
