Anybody grown out the Barneys Red Dragon strain? Wonderin what the stretch is like in 12/12

I've got 2 Red Dragons that have been in flower for a week and a half, theyve already doubled in size so am thinking they are gonna be stretchy buggers! probably both are nearly a metre tall ALREADY!

ive just muydered the only red dragon that popped out of my 5, tas a male and it stretched to double its size in 8 days once put onto flower (prob not relevant to ya being a male though cos dunno if males grow quicker, i murder em as soon as i spot em).

pretty bleedin poor show imo and i cant see meself buying anything else off em unless i see many many good reports on them off time served growers

Similar experiences to you with Barney's (Violator Kush and G13Haze). Massive stretches (esp. the Violator Kush which was meant to stay short) and extended flowering times (10 weeks +).

Personally I wouldn't buy Barney's seeds ever again. My friend grows Red Dragon and loves it, but it's too much of a lottery with their gear imho - IT'S TOO EXPENSIVE FOR THIS AMOUNT OF VARIANCE!!! You'd expect more stability, but it just isn't there.

And 16 euros a gram for ANY weed is criminal. Grow your own and put the criminals out of business....

I also tried Barneys G13 haze,

and it was , not very hazy, shit yield , smell and flavour IMO.

I grew 3 seeds out of a 5 pack (my m8 had the other 2), all germinated fine, no hermies, and all really short bushes, and all looked pretty similar.

Nothing like what you smoke in Barneys in the dam.

im 4 weeks into flower now with 2 red dragons, i loved the smoke so hoping the i have one which is similar, but agree with above, shit seeds i think, planted 5 got 2 fems, 1 was very sick from the off, was lacking iron apparently, fed with maxicrop with added iron which seemed to sort it, but still was a little effected. none of my other plants were sick, both smell nice tho, gonna be later finished than my other plants too by looks.

anyway to your question, i have 1 more sativa looking one which streched about 3 times which im glad cos was the sick one an was much shorter than the rest.

the other is a sbushy one which i topped an stretched about double

Yeah I agree actually there about 3 weeks into veg now and it reallyis a lottery, Ill upload a picture 2moro and u will c what i mean. I have a 'three leaf clover' version ofa ganja plant!!

Here is a picture of my weird plant. Notice that it is growing three sets of leaves instead of two, very unstable! This is a red dragon.

exactly same as mine, apparently its a iron def, i fed with maxicrop with added iron that sorted it. root drench and spray. the leaves were real dry and brittle, dropped off in the end.

Yep thats the one mate mines the same! Except I have three fan leaves comin through instead of two! Thanks for the advice I will spray and drench with maxicrop n c how that goes. Would 'Maxicrop Plus Sequestered Iron' be the product u are refering too? I have found this strain to be very odd so far....

thought mine must of bin a one off, cant be good that, ive not found anyone else to be growin it.

Yeah I havnt found alot of info or grow diarys on it either. There is a particular one searching 'red dragon grow' through moogle the first result is a pretty good diary thats what made me get the seeds!

Yeah crazy 'three leave clover' plant its still going though and it means i get 3 internodes instead of 2

If u dont mind me askin what measure were u givin ur ladies? I was thinkin 1ml to a litre of water??

Check out my 3 and 4 node Sweet Tooth.. 'Whorled phyllotaxy' apparently. If they are not feminised they are probably male though, it rarely happens with females. Which is a shame, because they are bushy as hell.

I will have a look into this 'whorled phyllotaxy' thing then, nice to see someone else with the same problem! I have fem seeds but never know with Barneys so will have 2 wait n c. Will keep it back if it proves to be strong! Yeah ive heard lots of people slating G13 Haze aswell mate mainly apparently its not stable and take alot longer than stated to flower.

I just finished a grow like that and its a chor. Gonna wait till next year and plant the long flowering ones outside! They are called Thai Super Skunk by G13 Labs btw got them free with my cheese seeds!

sounds unlucky for you boys. ive got a 600w light, with 7 plants in there. 2 being red dragons. Mine didnt stretch much at all, they aer by far the shortest indica looking plants (in with 2 s.l.haze, 2 b.cheese, 1 chiesel). 6 1/2 weeks into flower, they are looking FAT. smelling so fruity. i did by females though easily 2 + oz on 1 plant. obviously until the smoke you wont know, but i highly rate it!
