Hello all

This is a problem I've had a few times in the past and never got to the bottom of. Here are a couple of pics of two week old seedlings. You can see a lot of leaf curl and what looks like nute deficiency. These are planted in basic compost with no ferts, but I would assume there is plenty available in there for them at this stage.

They are under a 600w HPS at around 36" from the bulb. There are 2 or 3 plants showing this symptom. Temps are around 28c

The first pic is with a flash and shows the leaf curl, the second pic was with natural light to show the colour differences (sorry about the blurring, but you should get the idea)

As I say, I've had this in the past and they usually carry on growing though a little slower, often, they will stabilize and the problem goes away, though I only see it from new seeds, never clones as I never clone from any showing this problem.

Any ideas?

I've moved the lights away to more like 48" and they seem to be recovering. Would you say that the problem does look like heat stress then?

Yeah, the stems are good and the young plants are doing well apart from this. It's good old B&Q standard compost by the way smile.gif
