It's not a common pest like a slug. It's probably the larvae of a beetle of some kind, It's hard to say.
Not much you can do - spray with a Derris/pyrethrum mixture if it gets worse.

2-2-6 will this help the plants yellowing?

Anyone know how much of a problem it is ?

still learning
just to confirm yes capsid bug - my plants have been ravaged by the little fuckers this year. Lucky they are in pots in the garden so I can check them each day and squish anything hiding in the growing tips which is where they do their damage mine are green and they run fast when disturbed.

I am also spraying with neem with a bit of soaked garlic -

This is my second "attack" this year - and this is worse than before because there are more tips to munch I suppose and I got a bit complacent thinking they had gone after the first attack a month or so ago.

Good luck

e2a - they also like Hydrangeas and Fuchsias mad.gif

I've had Capsid bug but they didn't touch the lower leaves, just the brand new growth, didn't look like budheds but more like justonemores. One application of bug clear did exactly what it said on the bottle and no return for 2/3 weeks touch wood.

The damage looks big for capsid and in the wrong place (leaf looks too big to be from the area they munch on but correct me if i'm wrong) but that's just in my case, maybe yours are bigger bugs and i'm only on my 1st grow so a newbie. If the plants are outside could be anything. Either way scotts bug clear does an awesome job with lots of insects so worth a go, just make sure you get the one for fruit and veg.

Here's a pic of what mine looked like.

That looks more like leaf hopper to me mate,

Got a bit of that as well, if it is you can just stroke the bottom of the leaf and kill them or I found they shake off.

Good luck,

JOM
