alrighty High ,
Sorry for hijacking the thread about the ice but man I ve been smoking this ice for days now and its still knocking me out , let it got 10 weeks mate theres 2 pheno,s , one smells of lemon/petrol its the bee,s knees , keeps knocking me and my mates right out .the other one is more sativa ish its ace aswell , but you want that Petrol one & didnt keep a mum , gutted , which reminds me to get more beans.
eta , Ive got a choice of smoke , bubblegummer etc , but I keep going back to this ice . I.ve smoked Kush and herijuana that havent been as nice or potent as this lil girl ... I,ll be over the moon if these ice/grape are half as good .
phew a morning joint o this is hard work cool.gif

hi herbit the ice is looking the best but i am having trouble in there with yellowing, started first on the bbww now on to the ice its day 49 flower i took the feed down 1ml bloom and 2ml grow a week or so ago but uped it to 1ml fish mix 1ml grow 2 ml bloom still the same and to top it off i have had a small light leek and i found 1lot of balls on the wwbb so i picked them off praying i find no more if i do she will get the chop at 8 weeks

the ice gf are doing fine growing slowly under this new small light but its working i seem to have fungus natts in there dam cheep soil i got hold of, i have put in stickyellow fly traps and killing every day by hand to keep the numbers down b4 they go in to 15l pots in new soil witch will be atami and i have a box set of nutes from them and bloombastic that i will test on 2 of the ice grapefruit other 2 will stay with the grow bloom and fish mix

just to add the yellowing problems are the same it starts to yellow from the centre of each blade and creeps outwards is it in need of N or i have over watered them pics don't show it
Burton Red
Not to sure H n D, but have you tried posting in the sick plants section??

theres a feeding schedule here somewhere think its owd,s
I do 1 feed and 3 bloom , soak them then let them dry out . seems to work for me.
high and dry
been doing that mate but towards the end drop the bloom and up the grow
think i have not been letting them dry out properly there only in 8 inch pots to small you can see it in my last group shot pics
djay
Hi again m8 looking at your pics and saying they have only been in 8inch pots they could well be root bound and as said also overfeeding would cause those problems , have you got a shot of there root structure ?

Also careful with the fishmix it's strong stuff in most cases you can do away with the grow and just use bloom and fishmix if memory servers me correctly although been a while since i used it as i had an accident with it on some carpet cry.gif

I must admit, that i get way better results with just fishmix through the hole grow, than when i use to use bloom and grow together with the fishmix smile.gif Its much easyer to control the feed that way imo, and they seem to respond better with fishmix alone smile.gif
Burton Red
@djay... Fish mix on the carpet?? Bet that smelt nice
high and dry
thanks for the info! djay matsi smile.gif
tried to get a root shot but no room to take the pot off as the net is in there. you will be glad to no the icegrapefruit will be going in at least 11l pots if not 15 lol.gif learn from your mistakes and all that whistling.gif

Yes... smile.gif

11ltr is a good size pot but then i see loads of people getting awesome results out of 6.5ltr ones and i have had a nice tickle using 6.5 on a few myself as well.
high and dry
think 11l will fit better so 11l it will be!
on to the bbxww and the ice day 56 in flower so 8 weeks think they look sad and yellow here is a pic of the bbxww

now the ice grapefruit its going slow under this 2x36w light but they seem to be ok just in need of a re pot but have no room untill the flower cab is free a week max then in to 11l pots and 2 weeks veg under the 400w hps they have numbers now so 1 through to 4

i think the new light would be good for mums and the starting stage but not so good for the full grow but it is the small one of three sizes and i was to lazy to hang my enviro in there as well! glad its no a race guitar.gif

top view now and the last pics Click to view attachmentClick to view attachment

well the grape fruit were going to slow, and the plants in the flower room had done 8 weeks so i chopped them down today, to make room for the icexgrapefruit that needed a bigger pot so i put them in to 11l pots and cleaned my flower room out and put them under the 400w hps. The root ball pic is the best out the 4 not what i would have expected at this stage but never used this new light before, so looks like the roots grow slow as well lol.gif
i sieved the soil in to the new pots with a old oserlating fan guard worked a treat will use that again.
i will now post a few pics from today hope they look better than i can write English

Click to view attachmentClick to view attachmentClick to view attachment

high and dry
all of them are the same! lower leaves going yellow then dropping. no feed just adding water the tips have gone have gone yellow is the new soil to strong? in my last post i asked if you think it is a good idear to try the new nutes i have?
Click to view attachmentClick to view attachment
djay
if that was the picture up above with the root mass when you potted up then the roots were not very well formed for the time they were in the pot which could be down to a few things poor soil or over watering as they should be really like these after 2-3 weeks of veg.

And poor root structure will cause no end of problems. are you seeing roots at the bottom of these new pots yet ? how long is it they have been in there.

high and dry
hi djay
they have been in there 4 days with no roots showing, to add i had loads of fungus nats but got rid of them now they can be a big no no to young plants?
high and dry
good news i have some nice white roots winding round the bottom of the pots! looks like ill need to veg longer now:( but you live and learn

Any updates high and dry?

hi update then! All is looking good! they have come on allot now, so i put the net over them last week and there filling it better than i thought they would. i am thinking of switching the light to 12/12 later in the week? ive not had time to take pics this last week but here are some pics from today, they had just been tucked under again. my stems are quite thin but there growing fast

ok been to have a look tonight and the heads had all come back above the net so there going for it now! so pleased they recovered after the nats cost me at least 2 more weeks of veg!
So since the last pot up they have had just water with some root stimulator under the 400hps with the light 18 inch away to get the roots to fill back out! temps are now at 28 lights on and 15-16 off so ill be putting the oil filled rad in tomorrow to keep the temp up when light off! The roots have filled the pots nicely as well so from tomorrow they will go 12/12 lights will be on at night and of in the day cheaper to keep the room temps up.
it looks like this is the test grow dragging up the rear, hope it is as good as the rest look!!! fingers crossed:) smile.gif

Nice to hear that they are now going up a notch or two in the growing side of things. Are you still going to be feeding them 2 separate meals or not. I noticed no-one has come back to you on this. I haven't got a scooby as I have never seen these these nutes before, although I would be interested to see the results if you go ahead. As for the oil rad, I think a lot of people are dragging them out of their sheds this time of year.

how doo burton
i think on the nute side of things i am stuck what to do i have the new stuff (ata)then the old stuff biobizz grow bloom but now i have another option i dont like loads of bottles to mix up and i have a bottle of fishmix so should i stick to what i know on all of them to grow out the strain together as its a test grow or go for some new ground 4 me?

the light is still on 18/6 as i want to take some cutting before i change the light as all the other grows look so nice i need to make the most of them for new year . the smell of number 3 is so grape fruity mmmmmmmmm
high and dry
well hello again! the cutts have been taken and the light is on 12/12 from today cool.gif

you can see that one of the stems has snapped at the node held up with the water bottle in this pic i have tied it and taped it up, this is the seconded one to go whilst training them under the net

Alrighty.
Mine were like that at onset of 12/12 mate, just leave 'em. Mine only got to about 6 to 8" above it and seem to love it.
Gonna have some fat as fook cola's!
djay
Looking ok to me high and dry don't worry to much about the net being that full they stop stretching around 21 days anyway and the stretch is not that hard to control on these.
high and dry
thanks weedio and djay for putting my mind at rest!! bring on the bud fest! ha ha headbang.gif
