cool all 420 and namkha, rite i am growing sum of the mazar and lebonese seeds and sum thai mix,and they r just growing into plantlets from seeds, i have them in westlands with j innes with sum perlite and co co 10%, now i no they dont like lots of nutes due to my reserch on the forums, so im going with only water till they say they need sum food. now to my main thing i need to no,i have read that strains from the lebonese and thailand need a sativa light cicle ,11 on and 13 of? am i correct that they will grow better in that light ,and what about the mazars to? i think the mazar may like 12/12 light, and i am planing on useing bat guano in the soil mix as the food for them all ,and just sum bio bizz bloom and grow if needed to ot1,s feeding guide, what do you think all , i need to no as im going to pot them up soon and put sum onto flower , any tips from a sativa grower or any grower will be welcome cool.gif

How to grow RSC strains

All of the plants in the RSC catalogue are heirloom plants

1. do not use liquid nutes --- they are too strong for heirloom plants
2. if you want to add more nutrients then pot up into fresh soil in larger pots
3. keep it simple - do not fuck about with sprays, chemicals, or other liquid feeds

other tips

1. find out the meaning of a) heirloom, b. cultivar, c)landrace, d) hybrid

Note

1. None of the cultivars in the RSC catalogue have ever been grown indoors before
2. I repeat: this is the first generation that any of these heirloom lines will have been grown indoors
3. Please try to understand the difference between Dutch/American lines which have had generations of being acclimatised to massive nutrient levels, and heirloom plants like RSC sell
4. Heirloom plants can have way more vigour and way higher yield than Dutch hybrids - even without being fed huge overdoses of fertiliser
5. Heirloom plants do not need excess nutrients!!!!!

Thanks,

Namkha

The RSC Lebanese seem happy enough with A.N liquid nutes during veg in rockwool.
Purely a wild guess but i'd try the Lebs,Mazar, Sherb types on the same feeding regime, but the Highland Thai need close scrutiny and need to be treated far more gently.
I too would be interested in alternative light cycles

i have read that strains from the lebonese and thailand need a sativa light cicle ,11 on and 13 of? am i correct that they will grow better in that light ,and what about the mazars to? i think the mazar may like 12/12 light

the strain descriptions on my site include the latitude the strains are from

this should give you an idea of how long the daylight hours are in summer

the further north, the longer the daylight hours during the vegetative growth stage

the Mazar, the Shiberghan, the Lebanese, the Parvati and Malana - for example - are all from the quite far North --- 36N, 34N, 33N - approx

the Lebanese will need long daylight hours

if you grow them straight into 12/12 they will be tiny and will not perform anywhere near their potential

use pot sizes, topping and training to control height

thank you namkha m8, so i giv them a 18/6 veg at least ,untill they a good 2 foot tall min then flip them to flower, but am i rite on the 11 /on and 13 of for the mazar and lebs to flower ? i dont no how to work out what lite they get wen on flower ,at the far north 33n to 36? nice1
namkha
perhaps you could do 12/12 for a week or so, then go to 11on/13off, then decrease it from there if you wanted --- shortening the on hours might influence the flowering to be more profuse and also to finish quicker --- but this is just suggestions, I am not an indoor grower... outdoors is the only way I would ever grow
