The only downside, is the yield looks like it won't be very good at all.

I've got a SFV OG Kush BX1 going right now. The OG crosses are great - OG x Cherry AK is amazing.
I've grown DNA's Kushberry before - not the greatest yielder but amazing smoke. The typical OG fuel/petrol smella and taste but with a sweet edge (the straight OG has a more lemony smell....bit like the pledge floorcleaner smell).
The Kushberry was nice and strong, but not as devastating as straight OG ime...but better tasting (my prefs, YMMV etc). On a 1-10 scale, I'd put Kushberry at 7, with OG at 8.5/9.
There's also BX2 versions of some OG cuts around in seed form, and DNA and a few others are bringing Cali kushes to the market.
Others to keep an eye out for are Bubba Kush and crosses, which are really nice (but overrated imho).
Downside is that the kushes typically aren't great yielders, but they more than make up for it in quality. I've got a Cherry Assassin mum that I'll be keeping for a long long time I think....so tasty, so dank, so lovely.....
UK Cheese fans will love the kushes because it's a similar brickbat type hit, bordering on monging depending on your tolerances.....

Abso-fukk3n-lutely - ograskal's gear is the best I've grown....outstanding genetics that just stand out a mile from the European stuff. Swerve's Chem D x OG (fire) has got to be nothing but pure devastation on a whole new scale. Got some beans in the fridge I'm clucking to get wet....but that's going to be my Xmas smoke for damn sure

I've literally just had a Strawberry Bubba (Kyle Kushman's Strawberry Cough x Bubba Kush) of ograskals germinate - and its feminised too. I grew his OGK x Blue Moonshine and it was outstanding, also The White x Bubblegum 97.
Once you've smoked some of the 'new world' genetics from the west coast you have a hard time going back to the old dutch flavours or the cheeses, and I love my blue cheese.

The OG Kush from Reserva should be on the mark. The owners of DNA, "D" and "A", are actually from Hollywood, CA and have had access to the OG cuts. Not sure which cut they used for their strains though. I'm actually about to pick up some Abusive OG cuts from my nursery/dispensary today. SFV cuts are really nice too.
OG Kush is by far one of my favorite all time meds and will be for a long time to come. The smell is just amazing and the taste like fine roasted coffee with that lemony fuel taste as well. Super sticky and a high that will last you a good couple hours

I have seen the OG Kush (fem.version) from DNA grown out in a friends closet. They got kinda tall and lanky didnt yield the best but the smoke was a thick lemon/fuel taste that would stone you for hours.

OG Kush from reserva is an S1 as far as I'm aware. Personally I'd refer to pick up a pack of OGK BX2s from cali connection over those beans although they arn't fem. Seen some excellent grows of them. I have a pack, grew a few out cos I couldn't wait to run them properly, from 2 plants veged for a few days untopped I got about 9gs of the most lemony bud I've smelled or tasted. Rubbing the stems of these in flower stops you smelling anything but lemons.
I'm gonna be running chem valley kush and the rest of the OG bx2s from cali connection along with 2 fem candy kush soon to test out a few different OGK based lines.
Greenninja you are right about OGraskal great strains. Grown out his urkle x blue moonshine which was excellent and can't wait to pop my pack of white x bubba kush fems. have you tried Outlaw? good beans too, grew is bubba x double purple doja and was mighty impressed. Hence the bubba cross from OGR

they are supposed to be quite stretchy
i would expect them to double in height
Halfatree
Jul 30 2009, 01:56 PM
DNA described the Kushberry as 'A short, stocky plant’, which I found to not be the case at all... was one of the most stretchy plants I've done to date...
Did you find it stretchy smoke?
Weedio
Jul 30 2009, 01:59 PM
They describe is as shorter and stockier than the OG Kush, not short and stocky.
QUOTE
Kushberry Cannabis Seeds are the perfect blend of two top notch West Coast flavours. The Blueberry male from Oregon was used for his taste and vigour in combination with the zesty, lemon taste of the OG Kush from LA. The Kushberry is a shorter, stockier plant that produces as good yield.
Halfatree
Jul 30 2009, 02:03 PM
yeah saw that, what I wrote was from there actual website description also and is after that part at the end that describes it as:
A short, stocky plant
A true exotic taste of the West Coast
She is one of our most potent strains
Very good for medicinal use
While it may well be the last 3, it is in no way short or stocky... so to use that in the summary was abit weird...
Edit: If this is short and stocky compared to the OG... That must be an absolute monster...

yes i do grow plants but not as many as id like and my cousi also gows and he does loads more plants than me so i do0 reaserch for both of us
but i also like collecting seeds i buy at least packet of seeds every 2 weeks and only want to buy great genetics
id do the collecting so when it comes planting time i have access to lots of great seeds this means if one lot go wrong i can put some more in straight away maybe a different strain plus i can donat genetics to my cousin and get a taste of these plants
as far as doing diarys i hav'nt got a camera and think a diary without pictures would be boring

yeh ill put up a smoke report and it would be nice if you did one about the og kush 18 but firt off iv got to finnish my power skunk its got about 4 weeks left to go so fingers crossed so far (touch wood) its going great guns iv got fat buds after only three weeks of flowering, so far its certinaly living up to the name "power skunk" so there will be a good smoke report of that hopfully coming soon (fingers crossed).
As far as other smoke reports iv only had one crop of northern ligfhts since joining this site and iv mentioned that plant alot in my posts

My Kushberry was actually very stretchy and pretty nute sensitive and went 71 days. Great smoke though - characteristic OG funk/fuel taste but with a sweet berry aftertaste. Not a great yielder as you can see from the photos, but a lovely smoke nonetheless.

I hate to sound like a twat, but that's a "how long is a piece of string" kind of question imo. Like comparing apples and skyscrapers.
Why do you want to compare them? For taste....potency.....buzz....?? Maybe a specific medicinal property?
For sheer knock-you-down strength/aka instamong, you'll have a hard time finding anything to rival a good kush pheno. I've not smoked KillerSkunk, but I'm a big fan of HTC Skunk IBL (old school taste) and I definitely prefer the skunk over a wicked OG for headstash. I personally prefer that old school pooey skunk taste....proper dank......as opposed to the lemon pledge/petrol flavours of the OGs. Not only for the taste, but I can enjoy smoking a few j's without needing a pot nap

(the kushes will easily do that to you)
It's horses for courses mate.....I like SSH, you like cheese, she likes skunk, they like MKU etc. It's like asking what's the best ice cream

thanx mate i guess i wish i had room to grow both but unfortunatly dont but i think as winter is aproaching a nice uplifting sativa of the silver bubbly will make a nice change after all the skunk iv been and going to smoke lately as my crop of power skunk will be ready for choping in the next couple of weeks so some hazey type smoke might go down a right treat one thing im curious about though is that reserva privada say that the og has an energizing effect did you find that to be the case

Sort of, but not really. I like the smelly skunky taste you're on about, but I love the spicy smell and taste of the likes of SSH too.
It's like asking which place has the best vanilla, strawberry ice cream, etc. Rather than which flavour is best. I like anything which tastes nice and strong, whether fruity, hashy, citrus, musky, or spicy. Anything but bland or bog standard.
Taste and effect is what good weed is about, for me, whether the effect be a trippy high or a sedative one. The strains you're talking about in this thread seem to be very high grade. I also hear the same about Ugorg's stuff, which is why I asked the question. Curious to see if you, or anyone, had grown any of either to compare, and to hear what you thought.

Having grown a number of things from RP and DNA, can say they have all been good... The Silver Bubble, was not at all like the Grey Area one though... Not as strong, but very fruity.. but still have another 5 to try !!
Have just finished my first UGORG strain 'Oldtimes' and also looks fantastic. My mate had a try and let out a big smile, as he now had the mum of the OT I found... So just wanted to say been very happy with both DNA and UGORG.
Just started an OG Kush and Lemon Skunk (DNA ones)... Wanted to see what this OG is all about, after the hype on it in Amsterdam.
