Hi Guys, I'm week 2 of flower, week 6 total. Growing:

Lowryder x AK47
Lowryder 2

I Also have double diesel, white dwarf and white moscow on the go...just germed

I am using 6.5 Litre pots...

I want to buy a Wilma Drip system. Was about to order it and I need a little help...

I am growing my plants with soil. I have used small amounts of Nutes....

1.) Do I absolutely need a Ph Truncheon/EC Meter

2.) What wattage does the pump consume

3.) Is soil a bad thing (with pebble drainage of course), I recently started germing in canna professional plus coco so will end up using that next crop

4.) Can I stick my 6.5 litre pots that im already using and just stick drippers in the soil?

5.) How often should I water, what are the timer specs (timing periods) (digital or not?)

6.) How often should I empty the tank

7.) Will it clog

8.) Is this a suitable system to let my girlfriend maintain while I am away for termtime at Uni? How often would she have to visit my grow etc.

9.) surely because the nutes/water whatever is recycled it gets grimey in there and the plants dont like it??

and finally, can you literally let it do most of the work!

I am planning on the ten pot kit....

thanks guys !!!!

In answer:
1. yes if your growing in coco, clay or cellmax. No if you're in soil.
2. Very little when compared to your lights fans etc. Not worth worrying about.
3. "is soil a bad thing?" not a can of worms that I like the look of! The system will work with it though. Use a mineral feed like canna terra though or your drippers will block.
4. Yep.
5. Depends how big your plants are, what your environment is like, what light's you're using...
6. Every 1-2 weeks (well I would anyway)
7. Maybe. deffo if using organic nutes. Less likely if you go full hydro and use clay.
8. Bad idea. What if she gets busted with your grow? What if you split up once you've gone to uni?
9. Correct, which is why you do a total tank cahnge every 1-2 weeks (point 6)

man you actually kick arse.....

have you got one yourself...

I have Ionic Hydro Grow and Bloom..are these usable...

Surely with soil I still need to check the Ph of my tank and the reading on the Ec Meter?

as for number 8.) My mum knows about my grow....I'm more scared of her than the helicopters over my house....also I'm already at Uni (going into third year)

Hello mate..Bio-bizz def won't work in res tank. For 1 grow i used ATA cleaning stuff through my wilma dripper system and the plants tasted wrong sick.gif
I love my wilma 10 pots..I will be getting them up and running tomorrow yahoo.gif .I always use coco coir in mine and love it.When it's up and running i can leave it for up to 10 days..Never run with soil tho.I can't see how soil will work tho.In soil or compost you need a wet/dry watering cycle,a dripper system may keep your soil to soggy as it feeds regularly.I water with coco twice each light cycle,if i did that even once daily with my compost plants they would be unhappy.
What pots are your seedlings in mate? If they're in small pots i would leave them til they need potting up then pot them into 6.5lt pots of coco and do it hydro or forget the wilma and hand water bio-bizz.
I use a very cheap PH pen and EC meter. .Easy.Fast growth and tastes great.

E2a..Forgot to wish you luck clover.gif

I would not use soil in a wilma it would wash through.and block pump and drippers also would water log medium clay pebbles are good for drainage and breathing.
wilmagrower
i wouldnt use soil or coco unless u want to do a water change everyday lol.gif it would be a nightmare!
ive now switched over to aeroponics because i hate cleaning the pebbles at the end of a crop its back breaking work even if u buy new ones u have to clean the hell out of them and its a night mare.

but i got some monster buds with the wilma and its was so easy growing u could leave it for the weekend and not even enter the grow room and the leavels would still be good when u got back

check out my last wilma grow i done and the only one with 3 systems lol.gif
