hey guys

Will be in the dam for the first time in my life, dunno how much time i got to spare but was just wondering if im transitting there how long would i need to sort out all the baggage/airport stuff, run into the dam, grab a smoke/brownie and then get back onto my flight?

Anyone know the closest coffeeshop from the airport?

If I remember correctly theres a starbucks actually inside schiphol

Normally you can't pop into Dam, but there can be rich pickings from the bogs where the bold run when not feeling so bold and dump the stash....

There used to be some right results there, a mate who lived out there used to go to Schipol when skint and wanting a smoke.... nowadays it seems to have the most intensively cleaned bogs on the planet and I guess is a lot harder work !

arrive in the dam airport. twenty or thrity min train to town. five mins walk or less to nearest coffeeshop from train station.

easy to make a round trip from airport to bong and back on a airplane within a couple hours id say.

When you come out of amsterdam centraal station, cross the road to the victoria hotel then bear right and rasta baby is on the corner.
Or walk up damrak(main road going from the station to dam square, just follow everyone else!) and grasshopper is on the left.

It's about 20 mins on the train each way.

It's hard work to just 'pop into' the dam.....but 20 mins each way is about right. There's coffee shops everywhere but not all sell hash!!! Look for one with an obviously placed grass leaf in the window. You'd THINK that'd be obvious...but I've made that mistake myself doh! Ah yeah, word of advice - don't ask for anything but hash....it's all gotten a wee bit heavy over there on anything class A or, actually, anything buy smokeables. Still a marvelous place to visit, and a great place to live...if you're minted!

Some years ago, I had a couple of hours to kill before a connecting flight out of Amsterdam, so caught the train into town, had a smoke, and jumped on the train back. It was pretty tight, much easier if you can cab it to and from the airport

I could be wrong but I think a lot of the coffeeshops don't open until 10 onwards.

Ah that's plenty of time then and you even have the luxury of spending the time going to a better coffee shop of your choice rather than the closest and quieckest you can find. Obviously quality varies each time you go so you can't guarantee the same quality smoke from the same place twice all of the time.

If it's hash you are after though I'd suggest the Katsu if you fancy a short tram ride too, otherwise Bluebird always have a nice hash selection as does Barny's, plus you can get a top breakfast at Barny's at the same time.

Then you've still got plenty of smoking time before getting on the train back to the airport again before noon and you'll definately make it with time spare.

if you aint got time to come and buy weed and enjoy the view in the dam you aint got time to smoke the weed you buy its not going to be even half worth the money and effort your putting in to going...

They have luggage lockers at Schipol.. €5 /24 hours I think...

I have been mashed on a flight many times... I guess if your eyes ain't too red you'll be alright.. Just keep rubbing them and compaining about the new contact lenses...
