I began growing last year on my windowsil with excellent results, to force flowering I just transported my plants to my airing cupboard every day, which was a pain but worth it in the end. This year I've taken to a greenhouse outdoors and began to use nutrients and my plant is starting to become too big, I'd like to force flower it now but can't think of any way of doing it apart from taking it in every night, I'd just wait until August but I have cuttings waiting etc. Anyone have any ideas?
Sorry for quality of the picture.

Trust me if I could have an indoor grow I would. This is the best I can do for now.

How about making some sort of light proof hood that you put over the greenhouse to give it the 12/12 regime? Obviously you'd have to make sure it was totally light proof and remember to do it...

have you got a dark shed you can pop it into?
theres a few methods in the growing under glass section. have a mooch around and see if theres anything you can implement.
iirc , you dont have to shade it for too many days to induce the flowering cycle, and when on it , it shouldn't hermie when back to mother natures light cycle ..
P.s.
please,to the peeps with more experience , if i'm wrong , forgive and correct me

just extend the dark period by covering the whole plastic greenhouse with a black out curtain or something similar. to create a min 12 hr lights out. thing is, at this time of year you would probably have to cover it up at about 6pm then uncover once the sun has gone down. ( at least untill flowering has been established, and by then the days will be getting shorter anyway which should keep your plant from reverting to veg).

I've tried black bin bags/tarpaulin/cardboard boxes, the list goes on, spent a couple of days trying to make devices but have been unsuccessful. Do you think if I covered it from 5pm then uncovered at say 11pm when it's totally dark it will begin to flower? Can't say I'm prepared to get up at 8am every day to do it.

Have you not thought about getting a bigger greenhouse? Wilkinson sell quite a big 1 that is impossible to see into and it's 40quid

Thanks for the replies, I'll consider the dark shed idea, I've seen those grobots but they're so expensive it's unreal, but that would be ideal.

would it fit inside a dust bin if yes buy a dust bin and stick it over at 6ish every night and take it of before you got to bed. (would look a bit iffy though and dont forget that it will strech.)

Hi Mate,
I grow in a similar way to you and have done for a few years, is that a Cheese cutting BTW?
Anyway,
I put mine to byebyes in my workshop at 9 every night, I have made sure there are no light leaks, even neon indicators on sockets are covered.
You need to get a shed or something sorted out, don't think throwing a blanket over the "greenhouse" would be practical thing to do, although it will work, and has been said it will grow taller.
The 5 till 11 thing at night is a good idea but can't work for me.
Other important thing is, put a slab or some bricks in the bottom of your growhouse, it makes a bit of a mess when they blow over.........guess how I found out.
Good luck, and welcome aboard.

I suspect the strain is white russian but I've only come to that conclusion with comparison. For now I'm bringing it into my airing cupboard indoors from 5 til 11, to see if it flowers that way, but I think the shed idea sounds pretty good I could do that, just means carrying my plant to the bottom of the garden could look a bit on top but don't think the neighbours are arsed anyway.

Yeah it has a little room to grow. I've had it on 12/12 for 2 nites now doin the 5-11 thing, cant see much difference apart from that the pistils are longer? What do you think?

Needs a couple of weeks before you see the difference in the growth habit. Keep it up.
