You aint got nothing to lose (if the weather turns shit later on in the year you will probably have problems but if you are lucky with the weather you should get some of them)

no probs mate you can plant them right up Aug and get spuds from Oct to Xmas .. just make sure you get a good late one nothing nicer than pulling spuds for Xmas day ....
or at any time really .... you cant beat a good spud dug fresh and steamed in there skins ... butter and salt and maybe a scallion or two ...............

e2a if your area is mild enough that is ..................

for a good turkey get a Norfolk bronze or black and feed it well .............. nice real bird ......
a lavender ... smallish bird but full of the good tastes ....
or try one of the rarer types ..easy to look after if you have the space let her run wild if you can
now your sorted ..............

Don't waste them mate,
How many have you "found" if it's not many you might be better off putting them into big tubs, deeper the better, even thick bin bags, I would think they would come on quicker than in the ground, plant them half way down so you can earth them up as they grow.
Good luck
