Full Version: Transportation Of Plants To Grow Site

I was planning how I'm going to move my babies to the grow site once they're a big enough - then suddenly wondered... How exactly?

I was first thinking a rucksack or whatever, but then I guess they'd get damaged en route in a squishy back pack. Or carrying them exposed in their pots won't be a great plan since I'll be cycling for a good half an hour.

What do you guys usually use to move them to the site? All I can think of is a big box convered by a bag or something.

I used a shoebox packed with newspaper inside a rucksack. Could only move one plant at a time this way though. http://www.uk420.com/boards/index.php?show...p;#entry1797421

I use one of those bag for life at sainsburys, and some newspaper over the tips to hide them. And I drive too. On a bike you could just hang the bag in the middle of the handlebar? Pedal slowly?

Yeah I'm thinking along the same lines. The only other idea was having them in a bunch of poster tubes, but the plants would have to be pretty small to fit inside.

Thanks for the fast replies stoned.gif

They're wee seedlings right now, since I had my site strimmed the other week. Hence started again ASAP to see if I can get something this year. I can imagine plants under 6" tall or so could maybe fit in a poster tube, depending on how much they're branched out.

Haha! That pic made me laugh stoned.gif I *could* even get away with it since the bike ride is only on rarely used country back-lanes... But don't wanna risk it.

If you get a 2 liter bottle and cut it 3/4 the way up it allows the two part to be sloted together. Then you just slide your plant in carfully and attach the top back on.

Good question dude, here's what i did... Click to view attachment

They are a bit WHITE but the only thing i could find at the time. They were perfect size for 8 plants and exactly 12in high. The tops close over and form a handle and you can't see anything inside the box. Definately needs a camo paint job for the wild but could be perfect for a stealth public mission. ph34r.gif ph34r.gif ph34r.gif
