Is it just me, or does anyone else think that 507lb of F1's during a match, ain't fishing?

Without tarring the whole commercial scene with the same brush, but walob

All it seems to be is pole fishing :S
I dont mind the pole but it just feels like your pulling fish out of water,is that just me?

And your right 507lb in one match aint fishing

Both fish taken from a tricky swim using a number #6 preston slip elastic, 4.1lb rig line & 2.9lb bottom. Though i was just after Roach & skimmers! Good sport, & proper fishing

I'm not totally against pole fishing,i've had some blinding days in the past with margin carp

I just think theres more fun to be had with a rod and a reel,but saying that my pole got nicked along with most of my other fishing equipment years ago.... BASTARDS!!!!!! (whoever you are) so maybe its because i havent used one in so long.

I've not long got some fishing tackle back from my step dad so i'm hoping to do some fishing this saturday,just need to get a license sorted out.

River fishing I have great respect for, streams, "wild" ponds, reservoirs......

But there's places near me you can buy a day ticket and catch 507lb of fish in 2 hours if you know nothing about fishing, then you put them back, then you catch them again and pat yerself on the back and do it again.....Same IMO are these fly fisheries full of steroided up trout, any twat can catch them.....

The commercial puddle bashing has gone past being a joke in this country now, it's obscene

....it DOES seem a wee bit unfair on the fishes to stock them THAT intencely...they must be jammed in together like, well, sardines. I gotta agree with the pole fishing comments...seems more like 'putting' to me than yer actual fishing, but each to his own. I'm not one to talk, I love carp fishing!!
