1 more Q do i clone them the same as i would weed?
Keye
Pretty much, yes. You'll find that some plants take a lot longer to shoot roots than weed, which is very quick growing really.

What you thinking about growing mate ?

A growing knowledge base going on I think, a few good growers on here to help, just ask.

Good luck.

i took 30 forsythia cuttings this year hoping just a few would root and to my surprise they all have smile.gif

all i did was take some young green shoots and stick 3 in a 4" square pot with john innes no1 and left them in a shaded spot and kept them moist
that was about 6-8 weeks ago now, took a look the other day and i have roots coming out of the bottom of the posts

probably doesn't make the best hedge in the world but its fast growing and I have enough plants to make a good screen down the side of my garden which will give us a bit more privacy from the neighbour and a lot cheaper than a 6" fence lol.gif

I have a xmas cactus that was taken from a cutting in 1979, so I was told.
I still pass cuttings on now :-)

If you grow tomatoes then instead of pinching out you can root them and get cracking plants. If my bluetooth worked Id post a pic pinch.gif
