Has anyone come across this with BB Cheisel or any strain other than autos ?

I have four BB Cheisel in 10ltr pots growing in allmix feeding grow 1ml/ltr now approx 8 weeks old. Whilst giving them the once over today I noticed that all are showing female pre-flowers. Surely this is far too early, in previous greenhouse grows nothing has shown til mid-late August. I do also have four autos in there all ranging from 1-4 weeks into flower.

It is the first time I have grown this strain, but checking after several diaries I have not found any other reports of this.

Any ideas would be welcomed

Pre flowers are just that, it just means it is mature. It will start flowering properly sometime in august.

I have noticed the same pre-flowers on my Blue Cheese (un-topped ones) just this week. From what I have read they begin to flower a few weeks after these pre-flowers show. So these should be in flower ready for beginning of August I hope spliff.gif

It is based on photoperiod mate so providing your plant has reached maturity it doesnt matter how long it has vegged, it will flower outdoors when the daylight hours are correct . Some strains will flower earlier than others but you could put one in the ground in early spring and it would still flower at the same time as if you started in june ,it will just get alot bigger .

Absolutely mate - I wasn't saying anything otherwise - just that last year I didnt get pre-flowers till August - and they could have gone a few weeks more than when I chopped on 20th Oct because of mould (and my nervousness unsure.gif ).

This year I got proper seeds (as opposed to baggies) - states on packet finishing end of Sept - 8-9 weeks flowering - so seeing pre-flowers this early is good and if it flowers by early August I will be more than happy as it is doing as the packet says cool.gif .
