decent sunlight has terrific penetration so if your trying to avoid unneccasary trips for stealth i wouldnt see the pooint..... you could lways be the first though, i'd keep an eye on your progress

Thoughts? Yes.
I have thought about it for a roof garden.
If stealth is not a problem then of course, it's well worth worth trying.
I have often thought about but the closest I have got is tying down branches to open the plant up.
If I had access to a nice stealthy plot then a scrog would be the first thing I would try, either that or training them fan style (espalier?) against a south facing wall.
It would be a fair bit of work once they get going i.e. tying down and trimming.
I reckon you will need a reasonably sturdy frame to hold the growth down.
The other thing would be plot preparation. If you are going to all this trouble with doing an outdoor scrog then it would be crazy if you didn't prepare the plot well.
IMHO without free access to your plot I don't think you can do it properly or should I say do it 'justice'.

Basically i was just thinking of a metal frame like say 4 metal poles around the plant in a square patch. 100 Cabble ties and some big ass netting.. would you need to put neeting around the outside of the plant aswell?? also the plots are well prepared it could be done easy.. I i dont no what you mean by this "IMHO without free access to your plot I don't think you can do it properly or should I say do it 'justice'." What equipment would you try as i am bang on trying this

I would be thinking more of a rectangle.
The plant should be at one end of the net so you don't need to do any reaching underneath to water
The netting needs to be extendable and extended to which way the plant is going.
Indoors, the scrog is restricted by screen size.
Outdoors, you can make the screen bigger if you need to.
"IMHO without free access to your plot I don't think you can do it properly or should I say do it 'justice'."
All I mean is that to do a proper 'outdoor scrog would require regular visits to the site especially during the stretch.
It's not the type of grow you can plant and forget.
Just my thoughts.
Good luck with it.
