high guys, ive managed to get something nasty and its ripping through my killer skunks at an alarming rate cry.gif plants have been treated with essence from the start and added granuals at every pot-up,had a look in as usual the other day and noticed quite a few top leaves curled up,crispy and dying, pulled most infected off and brewed up straight away, applying it the next day.that was 3 days ago and the brew hasnt slowed it down at all, there only 3 weeks in flower and at the moment and it looks like its going to kill them its so fast.hacked a load of heavily infected leaves off today but its all over, will upload pics when cam battery is recharged, tiny orange spots with leaves turning grey/brown from the ends and just curl up and dye, absolutely gutted.could i apply garlic solution aswell as essence or would it kill the essence,im out of ideas and very worried sad.gif

Strange if you've been treating them with essence form the start mate, dont get me wrong my Killers dont seem to have much of a resistance to LSF but the essence did slow it down a fair bit.

How often where you applying it?

Are you sure its brewed right?

Are you defo applying it right?

Have you been removing all the infected leaves before you apply?

Hi mate , sorry to hear about your fungus /lsf

i would be asking why the essence isnt been effective ? . i have/had the same ,treating and treating with no effect really . i bought a decent pump up 5 litre sprayer and brewed up the same , it seemed much more affective and i am now getting over it , the sprayer was shreading the spores .

what type of sprayer are using ?

are you using pro librates/compostvertes (sorry cant remember who did it ) brew guide ,

are you using biowetter ? it does make it a far better product for coverage .

its a right pain i know mate but persavere with it and youll win .

hope this helps ,good luck , all the best

thanks for the response 181,sticky,ive been applying every 10 days,as per the instructions, not using bio-wetter just water and am using a normal sprayer on loosest setting, but will get a pump sprayer asap.saw a problem 2/3 weeks ago, thought id over-nuted by pooring surplus brew in undiluted rolleyes.gif but mis-diagnosis methinks as turned into this unsure.gif .will run over the process next brew, try and see where im going wrong, been applying every 7 days since noticed a problem, think will do an early application tomorrow.

Yeah a pump up sprayer litterly 1 or 2 pumps and get under the leaves aswell mate

the over nute possibly stressed her enough to allow infection , i had the same but i underfed lol.gif its a right balanceing act isnt it bud lol.gif

If you can get some Biowetter , i would mate its worth it , remove infected leaves 5 mm down from infection on blades and keep treating .

also have a look at your environment and see if any improvements can be made to air exchange, even shortning any extract ducting even 1m will give better air flow out, keep bends to a minimum , little things like this can all help to keep lsf at bay matey ,

hope this helps mate , good luck

Its prob not worked to well because you've not used a wetting agent and also the fact your using a trigger sprayer which has been stated that it will kill at least the trichoderma if not others to.

You really need to get a pump sprayer and a wetting agent mate thumbsup.gif

Sorry to hear of your problems dirtdog sad.gif

Apply the Essence every 4 or 5 days until your new growth looks healthy, then revert back to the 10 day cycle. When using every 4 or 5 days when adding the catalyst go at halve rate i.e. 1.5ml / L This will help prevent over doing the Nitrogen.

Saying that, if you're fruiting atm then you're not really going to see much new growth, but you should hopefully start to seeing a slowing down of the spread.

Best of luck in your battle yinyang.gif

just thought id bump this thread as im about to chop and say a big thankyou to the guys at plant magic wub.gif my killers couldnt have had a worse start to their flowering period, due to a few mistakes and some v high temps a nasty leaf shredding fungal infection sneeked into my grow and started to devastate my crop, but after some advice on here regarding pump-sprayers,method and bio-wetter,the results are looking not too shabby spliff.gif needless to say i re-stocked on essence as well as catalyst,bio-wetter and bio-silicone and the next batch of killers are looking very healthy indeedy yahoo.gif great products my plants love=happy me 13.gif

when i first moved into my house, unknown to me i had a leak in the roof, it caused fungus to grow in 3 rooms. i'd started to grow indoor plants already by the time i saw the black growth on my bedroom wall. it was 4 years untill i found the cause, just a small leak in the roof. it took about 15 years to clear it all. treating the cause is more important than treating the result it creates. i end having just concrete floors in the 3 rooms, its only now i'm starting to cover my floors.

flaming eck grandad,3 years of concrete carpet 34.gif hope you had some cozy slippers for winter,brrr...!quite right about treating the cause rather than the effect but was mainly down to slacker growing regime and weather, know theres abit of pointing needed at chez dirtdog but insufficiant funds and havnt had damp since room got plastered couple o years back so pointing goes on The very long lists of things to do that we cant afford to do list lol.gif
