Full Version: I drugged a woman of 73..

An very good friend of mines mother suffers from 'ostio- per-row-sis' (forgive spelling).
She suffers badly with leg pain and finds it very hard to walk for much more than 15 mins, I had talked to my friend about canna, she then went off and did some research somewhere, she then asked me if I could sort her mum out a joint...
So we go to her mums on monday, we sit in the garden and give her mum a neat joint of 'Jorden', grown by another mate, I thought my 'cheese' might be a bit heavy for someone of 73 toking on their first joint..
I tell her just to have a puff and then put it down. she has a puff, and in a strong Irish accent she says "dats bloody lovely, but I dont feel a thing" I then have to take the joint from her as she would have chuffed it to the end if she had her way..
I stayed with them for about an hour, I phoned my friend every half hour to make sure she was ok.
She told me that her mother was totally relaxed (she can be a bit manic at times) and her legs were not causing her any discomfort, and even though she had not long had her breakfast she wanted her daughter to go and get her a mcdonalds pooh.gif .
She slept like a baby that night, and in the morning she phoned her daughter to say that her legs were almost pain free and that she didnt want to take her pain killers, and would she take her to the shops for a WALKABOUT.
They went shopping for about 2 hours apparently, resting now and again..

HOW GOOD IS THAT?????

Great story mate, send it to the daily mail. I'm sure they will print it biggrin.gif

It's a shame that more sufferers don't have the option of medicating themselves due to the law sad.gif

I suffer from back pain, which gets a hell of a lot worse if I don't have a joint for a few weeks.
All I need normally is 1 joint twice a week to help relax my muscles and keep the pain at bay, painkillers do nothing at all, in fact they make it worse because I can't feel the pain so I slouch or sit in a bad way which aggrevates it.
The difference between painkillers and weed is staggering, and it's so frustrating that I have to break the law to get rid of the pain!
The only problem I have with weed is I tend to get the munchies big time and eat crap.
Peace.

My Mother in law is the same, she just doesn't want to get high I don't think, but we have convinced her to try some cream from the next load of trim.

well said Danzig

If anyone is giving anyone they know cannabis you must realise that you are entering into a duty of care to that person. Monitor dose starting small and working up and follow up by checking the affects. You must be there for them if they start to have an unpleasant time not just leave them too it. Taking Cannabis even for those ill means that they may have to combat decades of misinformation and this is ahuge hurdle for them to get over. They need support and reall truthful information. Above all give them time to make a decison for themsleves don't force it

Remember cannabis does help some people but not everyone

Ha this post still makes me smile. biggrin.gif
still learning
Just seen this - last week my sis came to visit - she had a really bad back and had taken her quota of pain=killers for the day.

She said as a joke really - should have a spliff - naturally as I had one on the go, I passed it to her.

She has never taken to puffing always preferring a drink - so she smokes less than half a spliff (a day time - not overloaded one at that).

Almost immediately she notices the pain is easier - she can now move - sit/bend down - and in general more mobile than she had been since her back "popped".

Wonderful she says. - I was so pleased for her at the time (wanted to say "See, I told you it's not all bad") and told her I was going to post it on here. Reading this has jogged my memory to do so.

She knew my son smokes for his spine problems and me for my depression/IBS and even her husband had one once when he damaged his ribs - but now she knows first-hand results cool.gif Made me feel good too wink.gif

Just an update to let you know the lady in question has asked for another joint or two, shes has puffed away on 3 pure joints since she started...

She only has a little puff occaisionaly, she says she still uses her painkillers now and again, but never first thing in the morning like she used to have to...

All good as far as I can see.. biggrin.gif

Result!

Give that man a spliff!

And the old lady too......

However, what about her writing to the Daily Mail, or whatever, with her tale..... she could dictate it for example.

Be a fine ending to a wonderful story......

...Or sadly maybe a suspended custodial sentence... pinch.gif ph34r.gif

When someone posts that they had some cannabis & it made them ill they get named, put on a pedestal & flanked all over the news. When someone who does not have a problem with cannabis gets found out they end up in court pooh.gif

An extremely refreshing piece of news though. Nice one for being kind, considerate & responsible thumbsup.gif
