I have an outdoor grow in my back yard at the mo but have fitted some of those solar garden lights to light up a path in the garden. They are about 10 feet from the outdoor grow tent they are growing in and are low quality LED lights.

My q is are they likly to affect the flower cycle of my plants or should they be ok. Cheers Tico.

Hi mate im no expert but if they are too close they may effect them because im sure i've heard of grows with LEDs being used before..
I know that you can get bulbs that plants will not respond to which are ideal for garden grows....

One thing that did worry me mate is how HUMID it looks in your green house mate, about 2 years ago wen i didnt know anything about growing I had 1 plant in a mini green house it got so humid that i had bud rot really bad... I think it needs an open top or lots or holes for air flow...

Just a thought m8

Hi straw cheers for your reply. The smaller tent is used for germinating all kinds of things (i grow lots and lots of fruit and veg too) the larger one with the green cover has the good stuff in it and the doors are only closed on the cooler nights.

Toast cheers for the concern but i have a very understanding neighbour on one side ( they had chemo 2 years ago that i helped to medicate for free) my cousin in one of the houses you can see behind and my part time supplier in the other one (quite a unique situation i know). Also the tent that it is in has been used to grow peppers and chillies for years with no one asking any q's. If this was not the case i would not be risking it.

Cheers again Tico

Hey there, nice looking plants you got there. I would be very surprised if those LED lights could have any effect on the flowering of outdoor plants, after all the moon can be very bright on clear nights and this isn't a problem for them.

Cheers net thats what i was thinking/hopeing just thought i would ask.

The plants are a mix of;

A, B, F and G were all from random beans from a mate. I was told they are a) misty, cool.gif orange bud, f) and g) frisian dew.
Not sure how reliable this is but they seem to be growing fine.

C) This is a cutting of blue pearl i saved from a friend who was killing it (over watering).

D) and E) are sputnik #1 non pink/purple pheno.

H) capsicum peppers.

Since this pick was taken both A and B have shown pre-flowers (fem) F) and G) have been cut back and planted out for a gurilla grow as both were showing less vigour than a and b and there was not enough room for all of them.

Cheers Tico
