Anyone grown Autos outside..? any idea how long they might take...they look like
they could go another 4-5 weeks which will make em bout 12 weeks old...Im hoping
to get bigger yield than indoor Autos, but to be honest I just like watching em grow.
...I have a feeling Autos will be a big part of the Home Grow market in a few years
....with a bit more tinkering (bigger plants) they will improve methinks...............

Quality Madrobar,

Could I ask what you growing them in and what sort of food are you giving them ? and did they get 24 Hr light to start with.

I'm on my third patio grow, main crop this year being half a dozen Cheese cuttings I aquired, would you mind if I stuck a couple of pic's on your thread for comparison.

I have 2 in forced 12/12 the rest are growing on, I've had to top them and have been growing them for 9 weeks.

Sorry to ask more questions but your grow looks a lot better than mine, do you protect them from the rain and had any problems with pests ?

As for the autos I got 4 LR2 they have had extra light (a 70W HPS) for a short time but are now in a mini plastic greenhouse due to the smell, and I recon they will take about 14 weeks, not very impressed with them.

Good luck with the grow mate,

Hey justonemore..............Firstly...post away mate,no worries.....All grown in Westlands plus....with my own compost,
a little bat shit and root grow....no other food yet but the dwarfs will be getting some Bloom/Molasses soon.....as all in pots
I move them around ....out of the rain into the sun....and I use Neem from early on regularly till finished....This is the first time Ive grown autos outside so dont know what to expect as I said they are allready 7 wks old but i rekon If we get good sun they could
turn out OK......cheers....M.......> smoke.gif

Thanks Madrobar,

I've just settled them all down for the night so i'll stick some pictures up soon, they look best in the sun, none of this HPS light stuff wink.gif

Never used Neem, can you reccomend it for the way we grow and how to apply it, I used West + advanced and had a bad time, I'm diluting it in with cheap and cheerfull P**t based stuff to get through it all. I had all sorts of issues with small plants in the West, but so many people like it I'm thinking I might have bought a couple of "duff" bags, never known duff compost before though.

See you soon,

I cant recomend Neem highly enough.....works real good, and the plants luv it,where from my
experiance they dont seem to like other pestisides.....As for the westlands Im always changing
compost and allthough Ive used it for the last few grows Im not entirely happy with it............
..........seems to work OK outside though.mixed with my own compost and a little bat shit....
...and after using Rootgrow the last grows,I swear by the stuff.......M smoke.gif
Get some pics up...!!

Just for your reference mate,

This is my first go at an auto, LR2 this little tinker was born first week in April so that's about 11 weeks only been fed a couple of times in the last few weeks using B+Q organic well diluted (half strength) I have another 3 but this is the best, got 4 girls out of 11 seeds.

smoke.gif sweet Id say justonemore....that last Auto looks pucka......Mine seem to
have stretched like they were under an enviro or somat but theyve been out as
long as yours since they was itty-bitty baby's.....Ive just started feeding a bit of bloom
and less grow and will be kicking in with the mollasses soon.......keep optomistic bro
if we get some proper sun nxt mnth or so they could do big things i reckon........
.......just getting the edge of a thunder storm here so everyting find shelter...

Hi Madrobar, The Sun is out again!! applause.gif Just a quick question, What kinda neem you using??

Ive got neem powder from crushed seeds got from online and came in a jute bag 2kg I think? Dont wanna spam!

I added it to my compost mix when potting up it seems to be doing ok, but just this last week I must have plucked and killed 100's of green and whitefly off my plants ( little mother suckers!!) I added about 1 handful to 20l of mix roughly. How do you use yours?? And do you think I could make a neem tea from the powder to spray on the plants??

Cheers

Graeto
Bad Penny.
Excellent plants madrobar, very, very impressive v.gif Graeto,I always use Wilders "Hot pepper wax" spray, bought it in a five liter container about 8 years ago, dilutes 1 part pepper-wax to 32 parts water,100% effective insecticide, none of my plants get nibbled by insects, only wabbits, and I have a solution for those also involving a spotlight and a 40 grain lead injection ph34r.gif

Whats up Graeto...............I use "Neem Repel" from Hydrogarden........bit pricey...£20
for 250ml.........But 1 tub did me last year for 5-6 plants.......Id say its a top product....
I folar apply at increasing intervals drenching them totaly...........I use it into early flower
bieng carefull not to soak buds and by then have come to end of tub.....For me not only
does it keep the bugs off but plants seem to love it and it gives em a luvely healthy sheen.
Ive never used the powder but would think you could make up a tea....maybe use a bit of
warm water to dilute with..?.......Cheers...........M...............> smoke.gif
