this at day 16, a bit of stretching but the stems starting to thicken up a bit & the leaves are a nice green colour.

These Mazars you cant find in dam mate. These are traditional landrace from Balkh, North Afghanistan. The real deal

All of RSC preservations are collected/recieved from the original source, i believe.

The Mazar from DP is a hybrid crossed with Sk#1.........RSC's are seeds collected from the source....

heres the latest pics at day 18,
2 out of 3 look good & are starting to fill out a bit, but the 3rd ones a bit of a mutant
but its still growing, thats all that matters

theyre gettin fed formulex at about half strength, the Ecs 0.8 & the ph is 5.8 & are under a PL2x55w prop light 18/24

these 4 mazars are just under 2 weeks old, same again, theyre fed formulex at a lower EC of 0.6 & a PH of 5.8.
one of them keeld over as theyre a bit more stretchy than the other 3 plants, the light was the same height too ?
ill put them into bigger cubes over the weekend & up the feed to see if thatll speed them up a bit.

been a bit busy lately but heres some more pics from last weekend.

the 1st 3 mazars are a bit stretchy compared to the other Anesthesias im also doing
but theyre starting to fan out a bit & are looking good, even the mutant runt is doing ok.
im still feeding them formulex (at an EC 1, ph 5.8) but theyre going onto the advanced nutes soon.

(anybody know if advanced nutrients is the same as advanced nutrients of holland ?)

the other 4 mazars i sprouted are about 5 days behind the others, so on day 17
theyre a good bit smaller than the others as i kept them in the 1" cubes for an
extra 7 days as i couldnt squeeze the extra 4" cubes into my temporary grow wardrobe

theyve all since been moved into my new veg cab & are looking good except for plant F.
which is looking severly fucked as i found it keeld over last weekend,i tried propping it up,
hopeing it would recover a bit but no joy, so itll soon be chucked

Alright folks, heres the latest pics of the Mazars as of 01/07.

Plants A,B, & C are upto day 35 & Plants D,E,F are on day 30, unfortunately,
plant G has bit the dust, so thats 6 left. ive also started feeding them advanced nutes (3 part)
instead of the formulex, the PH is 5.8 & the EC is 1.05.

theres a bit of stretch with them but theres not much i can do about that just now,
im also doing 6 of whazzups Anesthesias in the same veg cab & theyre big bushy bastards already

Hey joint hogger

Those mazar are looking great, i`m gonna be keeping an eye on what you do as i`v got these to do in a month or two.
I`v been growing in coco, using cana A+B and that will be what i`ll use when i do mine, what is your opinion on nute strength for these plants?

Hi R1

i was feeding them formulex for the first 4/5 weeks but i have since switched to advanced nutes 3 part grow, bloom & micro
& theyre doing fine, plant B started to go a light green colour, doing know if its a lack of mg or maybe something else,
but i gave them a spray of epsom salts & ill give them another later, half the leaves still a bit lighter tho ?


this is how i fed them,
upto day 10, they got a mild feeding of about 1 in 6 of the recommended mix,
the ph was 5.8 & the EC was 0.25,
then after about a week (day 18), i upped the mix to about 1 in 4, the Ph was 5.8 & the EC was 0.5.

they were starting to grow up & outwards, so i upped the formulex to about 1 3rd, the Ec was 0.75 & the plants were lovin it

kept it at this level for another week before upping it to about 60% of the recommended mix, PH 5.8 & a EC of 1.05.
after about 5 weeks, i switched them over to advanced nutes, theyre looking a lot better for it,
i should have switched them over to it sooner, aw well, i'll do that the next time

theyre all a nice shade of green (except a bit of leaf on the stems are starting to thicken up,
+ theres lots of new growth within the last few days

(in case your wondering about my formulex mixs being made up in parts instead of just using the recommended mix,
i made up a batch to check & left it for 2 days with a air pump running & the EC was at 1.75.
thought i'd obviously mixed it up wrong, so i tried it again & the EC was the same,
i've also tried a different ppm meter & that was the same reading, weird one )

Thanks for a very informative reply JH, it was just the info i needed, and no worries for the encouragement, you are doing a great job.
I`ll try my best to put up a diary when i grow them out, though i`m not the most organised stoner , i`m loving growing in coco but i have to confess that i am now doing cuts and seeds in compost again, then tranfering to coco as they need potting up.

plants DEF are at day 39 & both D & E are about 16"s & plant F is still the runt at 10"s.

theres still a lot of stretch but i made the mistake of putting them in the same cab as the
Anesthesias & as theyde been sprouted 8 days before & where growing fast, i had to keep
movin the light higher & the mazars suffered.

theyre all growin well, even C with the 2 half discoloured leaves,
(guess BIZ was right about it being a bit of heat burn instead of a dif problem.)


still no sign of sex yet but ill be moving them to the tent in the next few days &
once they get a proper blast of the 600w, theyll soon be flashin their wares

looking good jh, be nice to see how these change come 12/12 and how they stretch.

ive been busy trying to finish my variac build & plan a wee trip,
im off to holland on monday for a 5 day tour
so the pics will have to wait till im back

look ok for there first time in hydro.. i have sum in soil and just giving them water and they look cool

sorry for not keeping things upto date, i dropped my bloody camera & its fook'd

anyway, the plants have been on 12/12 for 12 days now & there's 2 definite females, 2 males & 2 still undecided
theyre about 24" high & have had a few trims to bush them out some more.
im still feeding them the advanced nutes 3 part mix & theres been no problems so far, touch wood

i did originally have them in the tent with the 600w but the temps where too high & i put them under
2 x 2 55w cooltubes until ive got the funds next week to get a 400w digi ballast.

ive got a rvk 6" L1 fan to cool things down but the noise is just too noisey for the neighbours liking,
so ill downgrade the light just now & when i get a large cupboard sorted, the 600W will go in there.

thats good mate nice to know how they were doin, i`ll keep watchin

right R1, the latest update, still no camera yet

anyway, out of the 6 mazars, 2 were definite males, so they were quickly given chop,
3 are definite females, the only one thats not shown is the runt, its still only
about 10" high compared to the other monsters, but i couldnt bring myself to do it in
& ive had to give the others a severe trim twice as id let them veg for about 12 weeks

wonder what size theyde be now

anyway, after moving them from the cab into the L tent, i put them under 2 2x55w fluros
for a few weeks before adding the 600w but shortly later the temps shot upto the high 90s,
so i popped the 2 fluros back in instead until i could get a 400w & the 600w will be used
somewhere else at a later date

ive just managed to scrape the funds together for a 400w lumatek & added the old dutch barn reflector
off the 600w until i make up my mind on a fancy replacement , so i popped them in the tent & the plants
are lovin it, lots of flowering sites & the temps are a reasonable 80f lightson & a 68F lights off.

im still feeding them the advanced nutes phd to 5.8 & everythings looking ok so far.

well, i kinda made a balls of IDing a supposed fem, i was checking them all just to make sure & one of them had plums

so, it quickly got the

out of the rest, theres 2 confirmed mazars with a small runt still to show anything,
5 confirmed F1 Anestheasias & 2 confirmed nirvana ak48s in soil.

the runt turned into a geezer

so, i've ended up with 2 fem's out of 6.

as for the runt, i moved him to another spare room where he can catch some sunlight through the windows
until i give him the chop, as for his pollen, he spurted a few bags worth 2 days after i moved it,
anyone know if its worth while using what i've collected so far or am i better just binnin it as he was a bit of a weakling ?

i was so bloody lucky he didn't do the business in the tent tho, ive got 5 anesthesia's,the other 2 mazar's & 2 ak48s,
all in the middle of flowering.

finally managed to borrow a decent camera, so here's what they look like now, bearing in mind i vegged them for
about 12 weeks & theyve been in 12/12 for 3 weeks, i also had to give them a few hatchet jobs to keep them
a manageable size .

Beautiful looking plants JH - looks like you've managed to keep them to a reasonable size too, seeing as they can go to 4 metres outdoors.
Mazar is one of the few RSC strains I haven't got seeds of... yet, but it's on the list.
Best of luck with the rest of the grow and I look forward to seeing your smoke report at the end.

still no decent pics as the 2 remaining Lebs are stuck in the back of the tent but i am sad to say, 1 of them has hermied & is full of seed,
terrific, just what i wanted, to be a proud dad to a bastard inbreed

on the other hand, it was right below my cf & im hoping it didnt spunk over the annies or 2 ak48s, so far, it doesnt look like it

the other mazar looks the biz, its a bit stretchy but its filling out nice, wonderfull smell from it,
the only thing i can match it too is like a bubblegum smell, something like bazooka joes

theyre also in their final few days, they've been getting flushed since sunday with a few ltrs of plain 5.8 water,
but ill need to do some home work on flushing in hydro
