Nah man, just get on your knees n dig the feckers out! I too am on the quest for a perfect lawn, just moved into a new gaff and the lawn is fucked man, but with a bit of top soil and some new seed and gettin the weeds out its gonna be sweet by next summer thumbsup.gif

if you've got a good lawn , i can see the benefits of keeping on top of it.
one saying i heard is 1 years seed = 7 years weed. i left 2 years of weed seed down (dandelions, wild grasses and a few more pinch.gif
Then the brambles moved in fear.gif
so i killed my front off yesterday with a crew cut and 2 doses of sodium chlorate giljotiini.gif

flags and bolted down containers for us.

Im under the impression that weed-killer kills whatever it touches, and that dont stop at just weeds....

since i started looking into rock dust for my grow, it appears to be perfect for the outdoor garden, i cant find anything that says its good for growing in pots. iv'e started spreading all over, if the reading is true i cant wait to see the result, only needs to be done every five years. rock dust is not a feed, i use the biobiz products on my flowers, grass and vegetables, the grass loves fish mix. but it feeds the weeds, i cut them out.
i forgot the topic was weeds.

get a cylindar mower and cut it at least three times a week, it'll be pretty much weed free in no time, apart from the broadleaf basts...

Use a translocation selective herbicide to get rid of clover and stuff, just not too much. Oh and lawns love nitrogen... Iron will give you the cartoon green look if ya fancy it...
