Just wandering what everyones thoughts would be on this subject. I've got 2 Babies this year 1 x Himilaya Gold and 1 x El Nino bothe fems and come from the green house. I think they should both be Indicas?
So come on guys what do u think is best?

an indica would perform better in the majority of cases. Sativas take much longer to mature/flower and it is incredibly difficult to get a sativa to crop in our climate.

I don't think it's as simple as indica or sativa. Two of the most reliable outdoor strains in the UK, Durban Poison is a pure sat and Passion #1 is mostly indica.
You want traits from both plants. The open vigourous structure of the sat, and the quick finishing time of the indy.

I thought that the indicas where a smaller More ope plant and the sativas where a larger more bushier plant?

in the whole indica will perform the best due to shorter flowering time and less lightly to be spoted due to being shorter but theres always exceptions to the rule

Sativas hardly ever rot, a few Indicas have some rot proof genes, but fat buds do tend to suffer from rain when Sativas just let it all run through.
As Gom said, Passion 1 and Durban work, Swazi does too, but Easy Sativa from female seeds would be one of my choices too..... Hollands Hoop too, for an Indica.

Your 50% right. Sativas are taller, more open and strechy and indicas are short, bushy and compact in their structure.
The whole indica and sativa devission is not as simple as it seems... the leafe shape and flower structure is important, too.
There ain't seem to be native pure indicas or sativas at all, because the pollen from all the hash fields is traveling around
the globe, today. Furthermore most of the now so called native genetics are allready polluted from the dutch or american gen-pool.
A fitting example is skunk in jamaica and skunk hybrids in marroco.

Not the UK, but a similar environment, the HG will rot, El Nino may well survive happily.
