What do we reckon guys they done yet.plant 1 has by far the most bud,but it all looks a little airy to me,im a bit disappointed in her to be honest thought she was going to produce a good yield.Plant 2 has fewer buds but smells fantastic and all the buds are really fat juicy and tight, though she was going to be the runt but she looks the best by far now.

Keen to get em dried and out the tent now,as im going to be ordering some xline bubblegummer and pure ak and wanna get em going.

Thinking of turning off the light after today and leaving them in darkness till friday does this help? or should i just pull em up and hang em in the tent? without the light obviously.

Personally ide leave em a week or so, and forget this leaving in dark plop, unless they're chopped of course lol.gif lol.gif

I'm not so sure ,Randalizer gives his a week of dark before the chop and reckons they need no/very little curing!! I'll be trying it myself next harvest. wink.gif

Apparently just the opposite from what I read of a post someone made here. My apologies for not having a link available. This was a post from another web site. The author states that there are enzymes in canna that help it break down chlorophyl. Apparently keeping it in the dark helps this process (that plant does not produce any more chlorophyl). This is also why you want to dry slowly. Once enough plant moisture is gone, the enzymes are not as active.

This is why I believe my canna has a sweet taste with almost no cure time. I let the plants sit in the dark for 6 days prior to the chop. However even with that, curing still helps. yes.gif

Im still not sure wether or not there ready,Been reading the harvesting guides on here about trich colours and so on.
I have been monitoring the trichs with a jewellers 30x loupe all through the flowering stage, and to be honest i really haven't noticed much difference. After another look today i would describe them as between clear and milky but then they have always looked that way to me.Is it just me or do some strains not change much in colour.
So i think im gonna chop em at the end of the week which will see them near 70 days of flower, and besides that ive got some female seeds nl xline bubblegummer and pure ak itching to be popped.

Get them popped them mate, if your chopping in a week should be timed nice. Can always put your seeds on a windowsill or under desk lamp. You got a week to play with i'd say soon as you chopped put ya seeds in there... sorted thumbsup.gif

Heres what i found about leaving them in the dark, probs bollox but it might help ya

24 hour dark period

When the marijuana plants are ready to harvest, I like to give them 24 hours of darkness to promote more resin.Since potency is lowest in the middle of the day period under full heat, the darkness should let the weed plant come to it's full potential. Some marijuana plants, especially the White family (Russian, Widow) really seem to like this, and I can't see it causing any damage either way; just another way to maximize the potential of the weed plant in some circumstances. The frosting on the cake, so to say.
