I know there's tons of threads on this already, I just thought it wouldn't hurt to make my own as finding a clear solution with the search button is a pretty hard thing to do (for me anyway).

I'm growing in a cupboard - the sort that's built into the wall. You can see pretty clearly when the bedroom is dark light leaks out the side of the doors. There's already bristly weather-seal thing at the bottom of the door so no problems there. But what can I use that's cheap and easily available to make the gaps light proof? People talk about using black and white and mylar to fix light leaks, how do they do this? Hang a curtain of the stuff over the room?

thanks much guitar.gif

Open the doors wide open, then in the slit between the door and the wall, on the inside, line the gap with black and white so that when you close the door it folds onto itself. No light leaks.

If I could draw a picture I would as that explanation doesn't seem very good but I can't sorry, hope you get what I mean. smile.gif
