Two articles from The Real Seed Co on charas in Nepal, Parvati/Malana and Peshawar

There are some major typo issues in the Nepal article - someone must have let a rogue grammar checker loose, which has fucked up some of the paras...

also there is a big picture of some cut charas from Thamel in Nepal which has no subtitles explaining that it is fake

still, both articles should both be worth a read and there are some nice pics here and there

You can get them both from here

I've just read the first issue article about Pakistan and India. Very well written that was mate. Nice one. Pleasure to read. I like how you describe everything and the people seem colourful. It gave me a good sense of things. The end sentence was a good one too. Great article that was man. Really enjoyed it. I'm about to read the rest of this magazine now. Is this magazine available in book form?

I got the first issue a little while ago with an order of bongs and stuff I did from SPAM, I tried entering the competition to win a roor bong and I didnt.....
Not the worst mag, slightly trashy though
And yeah, it is an actual magazine also
I think the only article I read was the one on indian hash, good stuff
rubbabudbud
As much as I like tits why the tabloidesque obsession with having them in mags like this? High Times did the same thing for a while then stopped.

Well produced and written though, cheers.

Hi

Thanks for the positive comments

I'm really interested to hear any feedback actually, good or bad

hiya Rubbabudbud --- I understand why you say that, but personally I'm all for having naked hotties in the magazine: I don't think journalism is incompatible with that --- Playboy back in the '60s had a lot of quality journalism --- guys like Norman Mailer etc. would write for it often... Buds and Babes is obviously aiming to do something different, and I'm no Norman Mailer, but I don't think "soft porn" is by definintion trashy.. (though, erm, with all respect to the ladies in issue 2 they are no "Cindy Crawfords" any more than I am Brad Pitt)

if people have any suggestions for improving the articles I would be very interested to hear --- I am writing one on Lebanon at the minute for the first proper issue, if people have any thoughts on the kind of direction it could have let me know

I think with the Nepalese one I should maybe have given a bit more detail about the range of charas and ganja available in the country

thanks,

Namkha

Hey namkha, I went to journalism school and i don't think I could do as good a job as you, you have a great descriptive capacity and fluidity of story, keep up the good work!
Where did they get their models for this issue? Just goes to show how much photoshopping FHM et al do to their womens
But seriously Namkha, you should think about writing a book about your travels through the hash regions etc, it would make an awesome read, its something I'm sure we'd all love to do but prob won't get the chance...

Thr only thing I havent enjoyed about your articles is how jealous they make me cry.gif

Keep up the good work man

What's going on with that chick at the end of issue one in the shower with a plant. Plant doesn't look happy with that lol.gif

What made playboy successful, apart from the really hot girls, was the quality of the content. What set it apart from all the other magazines which were sleezy and trashy was it's sophistication. Which was the clear objective the fella had in mind from the beginning. Hence the bunny with the dickie bow logo. Which emphasises this sophistication. Hefner also draws cartoons for playboy. Think he still does it today. So maybe you could find a good artist with interesting ideas to sort you out with a cartoon strip for each issue or something. I like girls too but for me there were to many pictures of girls and not enough quality bud stories like yours. You might be able to hold a competition or two every month where people can write stories for you and the winner gets published. Could be a good source of stories from anywhere in the world? There's loads of things you could do with a magazine like that. I think you set the tone with that article in issue one. That sort of encapsulates what I want to see. Well written stories, good photos of what is being talked about as well. The look of it all is good though. The aesthetics of it I guess. The magazine looks good to the eye. Love the ugorg ad too. The adds suit it. I also notice that the competition for some seeds asked how many strains ugorg stocked. Quite clever that because anyone who doesn't know and wants to enter will most likely check the website. So I thought that little trick was quite good. Ummm, another suggestion. Where you have double page spreads of girls. I think you should have one page with the girls and another with a different type of girls. Bud porn on one page, girl porn on the other. To be honest I skipped the girls after the first couple pages. Until that one with the girl in the shower, in which I checked out the plant and not the girl lol.gif The girls need work to be honest mate. They need better direction from whoever is taking those photos too. Growers girlfriend section wink1.gif lol.gif That last one was a joke, but may appeal to some. If you have any communication with the people doing the photos sort them a load of bud as props for the girls to play with during the photo shoot. wink1.gif

That's my feedback for now. That article kicks ass though man. Impressive piece of writing that is. Quality content is the key I think.

cut the middle man, send me naked pictures of your girlfriend and free bud! or is that soft secrets?

nice article.. and it is true about playboy, having read a few issues I was surprised by the lack of tits and excess text
