Good day.

So I have 2 questions. Can a basic tds test meter be used in a hydro grow instead of an ec meter?

also can a soil type ph probe be used to test ph of water or can it only be used in soil? im sure it can be used in water but i just want to make sure.

thats it for now.

thanks

A PPM/TDS meter is a EC meter that converts the EC value into PPM values, so yes, they can be used in hydro. thumbsup.gif

AFAIK, soil pH probes are unsuitable for measuring the pH of water/solutions.

if your on about one of those probes with an analogue dial, they're pretty useless
i deally you want a digital PH meter for accuracy
