Full Version: Best strain for MS

Hi All,
Does anyone have any recommendations for an effective numbing strain with as few jittery or shake effects as possible. I'd previoussly been a Kush lover, but unfortunately due to postal situations there is no chance of that happening in the near future, and even less chance of somehow getting a clone or cutting.
I am not completely immobile, but am forced to use a wheelchair during some periods, and have found that I have severe neck and head juttering issues with various strains, mostly indica based. I really would prefer something with indica tendencies, due to the relief from pain that it provides, however my neck is incredibly inflexible and recently i've done myself damadge due to excess neck/head spasms. I am unsure at this stage whether the identified issues are actually due to my smoking, or the strain I am smoking, at all or instead down to the next stage of the disease, but I am sincerely hoping the former.

My best regards and thanks,

Troubs.

All I can suggest is something like Sensei Star by Paradise Seeds if they still do them. That will certainly knock you out. Easy to grow and a very numbing experience. Total couchlock. Nice Indica.
Very nice strain if you can get hold of them.

Best CBD content by far is 49% and it's legal, called Sativex and comes from your GP

If you respond best to Kush, then Dutch Passion is worth a look at, you may find their Master Kush of interest

Hiya troubler,

I've been trying to grow largely to address MS - type muscular pain (ADEM) for c2 years and have found so far that the strains which were effective to this end have been Mazaar, Pot of Gold and Blue Cheese. Have recently been rediagnosed RRMS and no strain has as yet addressed the shakey clonus in my left hand side (Baclofen doesn't stop it either nea.gif ).

If anything smoking too much of anything - unless I'm just settled for the night - makes my coordination even worse. Clonus doesn't seem affected by anything, either way.

All the best with finding a strain that helps with your situation yes.gif

I'm trying a Dutch Passion Master Kush just now - it's a very hardy vigorous little plant, I'm hoping that to the extent weed can help that this hits the spot. Another thought is Smellyberry by UGORG - that and UGORG's KillerSkunk have both been reliably reported by Mr Arnold Layne to have been known to help as a muscle relaxant, specifically re spasticity.

Cheers

I did indeed. But please keep in mind that that is one man's verdict based solely on his own experience and the hear-say he received from others. SmellyBerry proved very effective at helping to ease muscle spasms I had last week, taken alongside conventional pain relief. Will it do the same for others? Possibly. Certainly well worth the try. The spasticity comment was more a hunch I have based on the muscle-relaxing hit that SB gave me, rather than a specific claim. I'd be very interested to hear if anyone suffering from spasticity has tried KS or SB yet, and got anything to say on this? Its early days for KS and SB, and getting reprts from others is going to be vital in order to determine the true extent of its therapeutical value.

Thing is, one always has to remember that with cannabis medicine, its a case of horses for courses. Everyone repsonds differently to each and every chemovar. Its the ultimate suck-it-and-see scenario.
